A part of the Christmas magic for many children is the idea of gifts lying under their tree, just in time for the holiday. Many kids believe that Santa Claus is responsible for delivering the gift of their dreams. A mom named Marisa Shumaker (@xxxxkaisaxxxx) was delighted that her 4-year-old daughter was super excited to receive her Christmas present in time, per PEOPLE. All preparations were made but unfortunately, when the gift arrived, it wasn’t complete. The mom did everything to complete the present until finally, a stranger’s 2 am gesture saved the little girl’s Christmas.

The mom recalled her daughter asking for “one thing.” A keyboard — the complete set. The gift arrived in time but when it was to be set up, Shumaker realized there was no keyboard. Only the stand and the seat had been delivered. The mom made a frantic search in all local stores and online but in vain. “I was devastated. I thought, ‘This is going to ruin Christmas, she’s not going to believe in Santa,” the worried mom exclaimed. According to a report from YouGov, around 65% of parents said that their children believed in Santa. The mom then turned to her Facebook community group, asking for suggestions to fix Christmas for her daughter.

People offered several suggestions, one of them being a “letter from Santa." At around 2 am, the mom started to pen the letter as best as possible. “But then a literal angel from above messaged me and said, ‘Hey, I’ve got a spare keyboard.’” The stranger kindly offered to drop it off. "I was willing to take a leap of faith, confident that Santa would show up and not some crazed ax murderer," she remarked. “Mind you, it is 2 a.m. He pulled up with the keyboard, didn't ask for a cent, just for me to take a picture of how excited my daughter was to see the keyboard,’” the excited Shumaker exclaimed.

"Santa had his two teenage children with him in the car. I got the sense that he wanted to show them how a simple random act of kindness could impact a child on Christmas Day. Not many people are like that,” Shumaker said. “You saved Christmas,” the mom said in an open message to the man. “It’s a Christmas miracle. You are an angel sent by God,” she added. As promised, the mom shared a video, capturing her daughter’s reaction as she approached the tree to look at her gift. Her daughter first spotted the eaten cookies and milk, assuring her the big bearded man in red was there.

@xxxxkaisaxxxx If she only knew that mom actually met the real Santa Claus at 2am last night. He made her dream come true! #therealsanta #christmasspirit #surprise #savedchristmas #christmas #miracle #miracleshappen #thankyousanta ♬ original sound - Kaisa❤️

“Mom!” the girl exclaimed, as she turned around and saw the keyboard. She immediately plugged it in and began checking out the keys in disbelief and joy. It was a smile of a kind. The mom even noted that the 4-year-old “loved the piano” and couldn’t spare time to look at other gifts. The mysterious stranger was finally revealed in an interview with Good Morning America — Andy Spencer. He came across the message and asked his teenage kids whether it was okay to help with their unused keyboard. “They were up and ready to do something good,” he remarked. “If she only knew her mom met the real Santa Claus at 2 am last night. He made her dream come true,” the mom wrote in her caption. “Love and kindness are the magic behind the Christmas spirit — and it doesn’t have to be limited to just December!" she remarked.
