Mom thinks teen daughter's detailed itinerary for date night has everything a '70-year-old' would do
What’s your perfect idea of a date? Some good food, an activity, perhaps just a stroll down the road? Others may include even more daring and extravagant plans like hiking, formal dinners and whatnot. Either way, a date is meant to be a time for one to loosen up and have fun with the person they like. However, a peppy teenager had completely different plans for a date, and her mom couldn’t help but compare her to an elderly (read Boomer please). Ruvi shared in a post on X that her teen daughter asked her to approve her itinerary for a date night. However, on reading it, she was pushed to believe that her girl was a “70-year-old woman" by heart.
“My teen daughter just asked to approve her plans for a date,” the mom wrote. While anyone would expect music, drinks and things along those lines to be in the picture, it was a different and old-school itinerary. Ruvi mentioned that her daughter’s date started at 4 pm, per the plan, with dinner. The girl then wanted to go “antiquing” after that. The latter seemed far from what even a millennial would do, let alone a teenager. However, it was a nice unique touch. This wasn’t all, “Park for pickleball,” was next on the girl’s list and her mum couldn’t help but wonder why her date was ingeniously planned in such a vintage style.
Another shocking part was that the girl expected the date to end by 9 pm so she could be home. “My daughter seems to be 70 years old,” the mom wrote. While the mom and several others expected the girl to have a lush and energetic date night, many related to her plans. Several youngsters shared that they often want to be back early or even have a quiet and unique date. However, the idea of pickleball and antiquing took many by surprise. Yet, this teenager was not alone. Other parents spilled the beans on their youngsters’ ideal date ideas. @fitserbmomma wrote, “My almost 18-year-old and her friend’s idea of a fun night is ordering food, playing pickleball, playing board games or cards.” @diabolidoll wrote, “Don't knock it until you've tried it. That sounds like a great date.”

@robinlovesNCSU remarked, “She sounds like my daughter, except for antiquing, it is thrifting.” @LoweryJohn1 shared, “My wife and I had a very similar 'night' out last week, and we both laughed at being old. Glad we aren't the only ones!” Still, others had light humor to chime in with. @steviewb commented, “What, no Bingo?” @evokinggenius added hysterically, “Does she get a discount from Bob Evans, for eating dinner at 4 pm like my grandparents? Does it include key lime pie?” Several parents complimented the girl’s idea of a date for her age and acknowledged the mom’s parenting. @jaihind435 said, “It's great to see your daughter making such thoughtful plans! It shows her interests and the values you’ve instilled in her.” @Jogajoga426365 added, “You have a daughter that was brought up right. Great parenting!! Great job Mom!”
At this rate, I half-expect her to bring a knitting project to the date
