Parents often feel that after having their first child, they will have a better grasp of the next pregnancy and birth. However, each pregnancy is different and has its unique, and sometimes astonishing elements. A woman named Victoya Venise got a similar surprise when she was on a work trip in Georgia in April 2022, per 11 Alive. As a single mom to a 4-year-old girl, she thought she’d have a better understanding of things when it came to her second child’s birth. She was proved seriously wrong when she witnessed the unimaginable on her work trip. The woman mentioned that she was due in two months and so continued to work.

On one of her trips, she felt uneasy. Since her daughter had a stomach bug, she thought it might be the same thing too and went to use the restroom, FOX 5 reported. "I had just come back from urgent care with my daughter. And she had a stomach bug,” she recalled. It was not long before she realized the discomfort was because she had just gone into labor and in moments, the baby was out. "I turned around and it was the baby, and I was like ‘gasp.’ I hurried up, and I grabbed him out of the toilet," she explained. So many emotions went through the mom’s mind as she sat on the toilet with her newborn.

She first grabbed a towel and wrapped him and then called her mom. “I was like ‘Mom, I just had the baby.’ I was like, ‘He fell in the toilet.’ She was like, ‘Call 911, call 911,’” Venise said. The mom and baby were quickly transported to the hospital. Even the doctors didn’t expect to see the mom with her newborn in her arms. “They actually thought my due date was May 15 because I was so small. So that was kind of the conflict with them. They thought I was not as far along," she said. The medics told the mom that she was fortunate that her baby and she were both fine despite the bizarre delivery setting.

While Venise had planned to put her son up for adoption when he was born, the bewildering birth story changed her mind. The mom noted that single parenting was taking a toll on her and she intended to give her child away but a newfound strength changed things. "No, you're mine, I'm going to take care of you. If I could literally bring you into the world by myself, I think I could take care of you,” she said. Her 4-year-old was exceptionally delighted to welcome her baby brother. The mom named her son Rocky and shared the special reason behind it. "Rocky is a nickname that was given to my grandfather," she said. She added how his birth story made it all the more perfect for him to have that name. "And I just thought that it was kind of so befitting because it was like you had a rocky start, but you're going to be strong and you're a fighter,” she remarked.
