Woman rushed to hospital thinking she had kidney stones—ends up walking out with newborn triplets

A person's life could change completely in minutes. However, one woman hadn't expected to come out of the hospital with triplets when she went in for kidney stones. The woman, Dannette Giltz, had suffered from kidney stones before. So she thought that she was going through the same issue when she started experiencing pains. She had no idea that she was 34 weeks pregnant and was actually going through labor pains at that time, per KOTA Territory. Her husband, Austin and their two kids were excited about the surprise.

"One time I had seen a shooting star and I wished for a baby brother and I wished for like two sisters for my little sister because she always wanted a little sister. I knew this day was always going to come," the couple's 10-year-old son, Ronnie, remarked. However, the parents hadn't thought that they wanted any more kids and were happy with the two they had. So the babies came as a big surprise for both of them. When Danette went to the hospital to get herself checked, she didn't think that the doctors would tell her that she would at least have twins. "It was quiet; we thought they were done. Then she's like, 'Well, we need another blanket' and his reaction is like, 'Excuse me, put it back, no, I was told I have twins, I'm not doing triplets,'" Danette recounted.

"She's like, 'No, there are three babies in here, there are triplets,'" the mom went on. "Once we left the hospital, she's out of the hospital, I know she's okay. I'm overwhelmed, honestly, it's still exploding in my head," Austin expressed. "You don't ever see triplets being conceived naturally, let alone going 34 weeks without knowing. So, everyone's like I can't believe it, I'm like, 'We're still in shock, trust me, we know what you mean, like I go to the doctor's thinking I'll have surgery for kidney stones and end up going into labor with a c-section that night.' It's crazy," Danette continued. The couple named their triplets Gypsy, Blaz,e and Nikki.
Many people came forward to help with baby clothes and supplies when the couple had the triplets back in 2019. The support from their community, including friends, family and more, helped the couple manage the surprise birth of their triplets. "It's amazing in a small town how many people will come together for stuff that's not expected," Danette pointed out. The couple also appeared on Steve on Watch. Danette shared that she had been having back pain for three days before the birth. But she went about her life and work before the pains became severe. Many people shared similar stories in the comments section of the video.
