Mom's epic 'Dwight Schrute' costume for baby's 1st Halloween is so spot-on, you'll instantly recognize him

With Halloween coming up, there is much excitement to ace costumes. For parents with toddlers, it is a delightful experience to get crafty and creative with how they’d like to dress their children. Picking adorable characters or creatures, the tiny tots pull off a one-in-a-million look that becomes a core memory. New mom Kay Dudley, was inspired by the popular sitcom “The Office,” for her daughter Ellie's first Halloween costume. After doing her brainstorming on what would best suit her little one, the parents came up with a hilariously adorable get-up that will leave you chuckling. A single glance at the little girl is more than enough to immediately grasp who she was dressed as. 

Sharing a background of how she thought of the theme and the particular costume, the caption revealed that it was a tedious yet fun experiment. The mom was beyond excited to dress her daughter up. Apart from the fun and cute outfits, Kay also wanted to add an element of humor to her daughter’s first Halloween experience. Their first trial was that of the character “Pebbles,” from the “Flintstone” franchise. “She dressed her up as pebbles the other day and it was so precious. But Kay said she wanted to try a couple of other ideas just to make sure that she was choosing the right first Halloween costume,” the caption read. 

On further conversation, the mom had a brilliant costume idea. Soon after Ellie’s bath, she picked one of the craziest and most underrated characters from “The Office.” Carrying the little toddler in her beige suit, brown shirt and tie, round glasses and a flawless hairdo, there was no doubt who Ellie dressed up as. With a smirk and the unforgettable iconic shades of brown in her outfit, the elements belonged to one character only - Dwight Schrute. Ellie carried the outfit so well that, just like her dad, there were no second thoughts about who she was. The dad was delighted to see his little girl and her uncanny resemblance to the character’s witty and unhinged personality. 

 “I mentioned after Ellie’s bath that her hair reminded me of Dwight from the office and that gave Kay the idea to get a costume together to look like Dwight. She told me that she had a surprise and went with Ellie to her room, after a few minutes. She called me in and Ellie was in her costume! She was so cute!” the caption read. What’s more is that as soon as Ellie saw herself in the mirror, she knew she aced the role just right. Her giggles and bright, gleaming eyes somehow uniquely matched that of Dwight’s. Standing and posing as best as she could, one could tell, she was super proud to be Dwight and loved her look.
