Nervous about revealing she was dating a man 29 years older, she drove to her parents’ house — her mom’s first words caught her completely off guard

She was nervous, knowing she had to tell them she was dating a man 29 years older than her. But instead of the shock or judgment she had braced herself for, her parents’ response couldn’t have left her any happier.
Inside her parents’ house, Taylor sat across the living room from her mom, putting as much distance between them as she could. Her dad was still in the garage, giving her a few minutes alone with her mom. After chatting normally for a while, Taylor finally worked up the courage. “There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you,” she began. She explained that she was seeing someone “a little bit older” — then added, “He’s older than you, by the way.” She waited for her mom’s reaction.
