Pregnant moms often wait for the moment when their water breaks. It is a crucial point, indicating that their months of efforts are finally going to be revealed, and they hope to welcome a healthy baby as a part of their family. CBS6 Albany news anchor Olivia Jaquith, too, might have been anticipating the moment, but not quite how it took place, as per CBS6 Albany. The mom-to-be was delivering a news segment with her co-anchor, Julia Dunn, and left everyone stunned when her water broke on-air. However, she did not hesitate to complete the segment, and the incident has us in awe.

In an Instagram post, Dunn revealed that she and Jaquith were both expecting and were delighted to embark on their pregnancy journey together. Fast forward two months, the duo were filming a segment when Jacquith’s water broke. The glowing mom-to-be, expecting a baby boy, was seated with Dunn with a smile, per TODAY. It was then revealed, “We do have some breaking news this morning. Olivia’s water has broken, and she is anchoring the news now in active labor.” Unable to control her smile, Jacquith replied, “Early labor. Early labor. Let’s not get carried away.”

The clip mentioned that the anchor’s water broke at 4.15 am and it was 6.00 am when they began filming. Jacquith was all good and insisted she continue the segment, pointing out that her contractions were far apart. “No, well, there was one, but it’s been a few minutes since then, so we’re still in good shape,” she said. Also, she revealed that she was 2 days past her due date, and good news was expected at any moment. However, she remained in her seat. She also mentioned, “I’m happy to be here and I’ll stay on the desk for as long as I possibly can. But if I disappear, that’s what’s going on.”

The team was delighted to support and be with her through it all. They continued the news segment, keeping the mom-to-be on track. “If I do have to deliver my baby today…how’s the weather looking?” she asked. To this, the weather reporter, Craig Adams, shared the weather update and added, “If I disappear from the screen, it’s because I've rushed to take her to the transportation." Even the crew behind the scenes wrote a note on paper that read, “Go to the hospital,” and put it on display in front of the anchors. When asked why she still wanted to continue her segment, Jacquith had an impressive response. “I think I can get through a three-hour show,” she said.

The show included the necessary news pieces with special shout-outs to the news anchor for her determination and commitment to be there. “I’d rather be at work than at the hospital,” she remarked. In a post shared on Instagram by the outlet, the caption revealed Jacquith’s mom’s take on her daughter’s persistence. She said, “It’s just exactly what I expected, honestly. That’s her. That’s how she operates.” People have a newfound admiration for Jacquith after she displayed graceful power and professionalism. @voluptousleah wrote, “What a queen!” @magicmark11 remarked, “Respect!”
