The royal guards for the British crown are known for holding their stoic positions and barely showing expressions while on duty. No matter how many tourists walk up to them for a selfie or try to make them laugh while making goofy faces, the royal guards do not budge from their position. Wearing their distinct red uniforms and heavy hats while carrying a rifle or a sword, the royal guards always maintain their composure. However, one man achieved the impossible and successfully made a royal guard laugh as it was captured in a YouTube video.

The video was shared on Mas Pak's YouTube channel back in 2014 and has gained a whopping 90 million views so far. A tourist named Yankel stood next to one of the royal guards and went off with his crazy monologue on how they went to school together. A man filming Yankel initially mentioned that they were allowed to walk up to the guard and stand by his side but they couldn't touch him. "We are in this thing together, right?" Yankel questioned the guy who was filming him as he was asked to stand a little closer to the guard.

"We were together in school, me and him. He went his own way. Just standing here. I’m only here for a couple of minutes," Yankel shared his faux memories. "So, how long do you know this man?" the cameraman asked again. Yankel jokingly revealed that he had known the guard for the past 30 years. When asked about which school they went to, Yankel weaved another story and replied that they went to a school in Kensington together. "You’ve been to Kensington together and did you learn martial arts together?" the cameraman continued. "Yes but I don't have this nice sword," Yankel replied, looking at the sword held by the guard who was visibly struggling to hold his smile at that point.

"He was never talkative I remember in school. He used to sit by himself and read books. I was just this guy fooling around and having fun but he was just reading. You’d ask him questions and he would answer with his head, 'yeah, no, yeah'," Yankel joked by moving his head from side to side, mimicking how so-called buddy used to be in school days. Yanked remarked that when they used to ask the guy what his name was, he would simply shake his head and wouldn't say anything. "He’s just this guy hanging out. His mother always picked him up from school, you know he’s that type of guy until he was 20 his mother picked him up from school," Yankel reminisced.

At this point, the royal guard could no longer maintain his composure and his lips curved up into a brief smile. That was a moment worth celebrating for Yankel and his friends who clapped and cheered after successfully making a royal guard smile on his duty. The cameraman asked Yankel to dance for the camera to rejoice after his achievement. After that, they turned the camera toward the royal guard who began marching and patrolling along the corridors as the video wrapped up. The comment section of the YouTube video showed how the royal guard's reaction left people astonished.

@feliciagarcia375 joked, "Plot twist: He only started laughing because he didn't want the dude to continue telling more of his secrets because all of them were true." @enlu8084 mentioned, "This same guard is in so many kings guard videos and always having the best interactions with the public. I recently saw one where he actually speaks back to a young special needs girl who was asking to pet his horse and he let her. Seems like a really good dude." @Chitario added, "That's a respectful interaction. No touching, no obnoxious questions, no threats or trying to scare him. Just some dudes laughing."
