She dreamed of her platonic college friend as her husband. Then one day, he flew 5000 miles from Belgium to her doorstep — to ask one question
When love is meant to happen, the universe makes sure it does. Instagram user Eliya Knight Hussey (@eliyahussey) was single when she dreamed of Tyler, her college friend, as "her husband." Months later, on a random day, he showed up at her doorstep, asking one question. The two of them never dated, but as Eliya believed, God had different plans for her. While she lost hope of love, the letter Tyler had written for her had the answer to her prayers. Sharing the adorable clip on December 14, 2025, Eliya revealed that her one dream had been fulfilled in unexplainable ways.
Eliya and Tyler, who got married recently, were college friends three years ago. She prayed to God in 2021, wishing to find the love of her life. In December 2024, when she was still single and had lost her hope, Tyler stood at her doorstep on a random day with a bouquet and a letter. In footage captured on the Ring camera, Eliya ran towards him and asked why he was at her place. He explained that he was in Belgium when he could not stop thinking about her. But little did she know that the letter he wrote already included a question asking her to be his girlfriend.
He had driven from Atlanta to her place with flowers and the letter to meet her. "I got home from Belgium and wrote that letter, and I was like just going to take it to her and hand deliver it," he told her. Eliya immediately hugged him and quipped, "What if you showed up and I had a boyfriend?" to which he replied, "I have had to come with a boombox," making her chuckle. He then asked her to read his letter and joked about her signature being required. "Is it a contract?" Eliya asked, clueless about what was written in it. However, as she read the first line, she choked up. "Will you be my girlfriend?" he wrote.
She immediately said yes. Sharing the video, Eliya revealed that her reason for saying yes to him was also because of a dream she had a few months prior. "I was in church with 2 kids, and I looked down to see who I was with, and it was my dad on the other side of the kids. But then I looked further and saw Tyler standing on the other side of my dad," she wrote. She had mentioned the dream to a friend but hadn’t thought about it again until he appeared. Soon after her post gained massive attention, many users shared their reactions to the moment that marked the beginning of their relationship.
