Some surprises make people stop in their tracks, rapt in disbelief. A 12-year-old boy received such a surprise from his mom when she came to pick him up from school. The boy, Josiah, noticed that his mom was filming him as he approached the car. He was annoyed by it and tried to hide his face. Little did he know that she had something special for him in the backseat. The mom, Sabrina Smyser, who goes by @sabrinasmyser on TikTok, shared her son's reaction to the surprise in a brief clip which received over 11.8 million views.

Josiah was walking up to the car after school when he noticed that Sabrina had her camera out and was filming him. So he hid his face with his backpack as he came closer. "He thinks that I am videoing him... but little does he know that there's a surprise for him in the backseat," the text overlay of the video read. The boy refused to be filmed as he opened the car's door. "Don't hit that car because you are being silly," Sabrina warned her son, as he flailed his backpack around to hide his face. He got into the car as his mom asked him for his backpack, and Josiah started dropping stuff in order to hide from the camera.

"Look at me. Now you are dropping stuff, stop," the mom said from behind the camera. "I don't want to be recorded. Why did you pick me up?" Josiah remarked. He looked at the backseat and noticed someone lying there. Soon enough, the boy's older brother, who was lying on the backseat to hide from him, sat up. "How was practice?" the teen asked his little brother. "Big brother has been at college for two weeks and came home to surprise everyone for the night. I think Josiah missed him," Sabrina explained. The moment Josiah saw his older brother, he lunged at him to give him the biggest hug while tears welled up in his eyes.

"Are you crying? It's okay, you are allowed to cry," the older brother expressed as he hugged him close and consoled him. "You missed him," the mom pointed out from the driver's seat. "Let's play some Fortnite," Josiah requested. "Alright, I am sitting in the front though," the teen remarked, as their mom laughed in the background. The video received over 2.4 million likes and 2925 comments. People applauded the beautiful bond the two brothers shared with each other and expressed their thoughts on the emotional reunion.

Go, Momma!" @djprismboy remarked, "As an older brother who lost his little brother 5 months ago, this made me tear up. Wish I could hug him again." @maine_mama6 shared, "Two weeks! I thought he came home from the military after a year or something. What love between brothers!" In another recent video, Sabrina wished Josiah on his 12th birthday.
