Struggling toddler mom accepted offer to ‘clean home for $2’—she had no idea she'd own it hours later
There are parents out there who do everything possible, work until the last minute and give it their all to make ends meet for their children. A woman has been doing the same for her toddler despite all of her struggles. A man, who goes by @JohnMillionaire on YouTube, revealed that he offered the woman $2 to clean his entire home and when she obliged, he was taken aback. The woman was facing many dilemmas and took up the job on the spot to earn as little as she could. To her surprise, things took a generously magical turn, making her a proud and grateful owner of a home.
The man stood on the streets, asking strangers to clean his new home for $2. One of the women he approached immediately rejected the offer, quite angrily. $2 for a job like that is nothing and no one would accept it. However, the next woman, who was with her 1-and-a-half-year-old, standing on the street, didn’t hesitate. When he asked her about the job, she only asked if she would manage going to the house and if she could get her baby along. The man obliged and the woman headed to the new house, knowing she’d receive nothing but $2 after a hard day’s work.
As the mom got to cleaning, the man struck up a conversation with her. She revealed that she was looking for a job. When asked about her son, the woman replied, “He's not my son, he's my nephew.” She added that her sister, who was the biological mother of the child, passed away after an illness and hospitalization. “I’m taking care of him right now, he’s like my son, but it’s very hard,” she noted. Getting transparent about her struggles, she mentioned how she had a job as a waitress, but left it due to distance when she had to come look after her sister. Ever since, she had been living with her parents and the toddler.
“When you offered to clean your house and I could bring him, it was really good,” she said to the man. He was surprised and asked how she could be okay with working for just $2. However, the mom had only appreciation and gratitude to offer. She also shared that her family was living in a rented home and had to move after a month, so whatever she could do — even a job like this- was valued. She efficiently cleaned the house and when it was time to leave, asked John to help her look for future cleaning or babysitting opportunities.
“I think you are a great woman looking for some opportunities,” he said to the mom, adding that he would love to give her this opportunity to start fresh. He revealed that the $2 chore was a test and for fulfilling it wholeheartedly, he had a reward to render. He handed her the keys to the home and said, “I would like you to keep this house for you and your family.” In disbelief, the woman began tearing up. John assured her that she deserved every bit of this reward, not just because she needed it but because she was hardworking, honest and committed. Her eyes and smile revealed that her world had turned around and she held the keys, knowing her prayer had been answered.
