But one traveler, who goes by u/Zealousideal_Green92 on Reddit, had a rather interesting experience on a Delta Airlines flight from Bangor to New York. Sharing the story on Monday, September 7, 2026, she mentioned how her canine seemed to make the opposite impression on two fellow travelers, prompting them to give her an unexpectedly beautiful gift.
After landing, the traveler discovered a handwritten note that passengers in seats 3C and 3D had left for her on a Delta napkin. Rather than just saying hello to her four-legged companion, the strangers had taken the time to leave her something far more personal. “Hello! We love dogs!” the note began, followed by an unexpected yet adorably sweet recommendation of an album by British singer-songwriter Ben Howard. “We're listening to an album by Ben Howard called ‘Is It’; we love it. Maybe you might,” they wrote, before adding, “Just trying to share good tunes with dog-people.” They ended their message wishing the woman safe travels. The small gesture stood out for its unusual warmth.
