Time again, we often see couples go the extra mile for anniversaries. Some plan surprise getaways, others give heartfelt gifts and a few find unique ways to make the day special. However, one man took it up a notch by planning a trip to Europe for their 5th anniversary. He took care of everything in advance, including secretly booking his wife’s time off so she wouldn’t suspect a thing. @CanaDaddd, who uploaded the moment to YouTube, recorded his wife’s reaction as she got ready for what she thought was just another morning. As she grabbed her things, he stopped her with news she was not expecting.

"You actually don’t have to go to work today. I’m not going to work either," he said casually. She hesitated, unsure of what he meant. Then he handed her a $20 bill, saying, "You’re definitely going to need this 'cause we’re on our way to the airport." She froze and said, "You’re not being serious." He confirmed, "Yeah, happy anniversary—five years. You’ve got about an hour and a half to pack a bag. I’m not even kidding." The wife, still in disbelief, asked him, "Where are we going?" He responded, "We’re going to Europe." He then told her that everything had already been taken care of: her time off was approved, their pets were looked after and all she had to do was pack. He smiled and said, "Why do you think I’ve been working boatloads of overtime?" She covered her face, trying to hold back the emotions.

The video gained over 6.7 million views, and people loved how much thought he put into the surprise. @LankanIan wrote, "Two people who have kept the novelty of a relationship five years into their marriage. She is so cute at the end when she demands a hug. This is not the first time the man pulled an extravagant anniversary surprise for his wife. For their first anniversary, he planned another unforgettable trip and managed to keep it a secret until the very last moment. He shared the moment in another video, where she thought they were heading to dinner, but instead, he revealed their real destination. "We’re going to the Bahamas for our one-year anniversary," he told her. Before she could process what was happening, he explained that they would first fly to Miami, where their cruise would begin. Still struggling to take it in, she could only repeat, "Oh my God…oh my God." He had already booked her time off work, packed her suitcase, and arranged for her parents to meet them at the airport. Everything was taken care of before she even had time to process what was happening.
