In a video shared on Instagram under her username @letthemvent on July 27, 2026, she explained how she noticed a stranger’s unusual behavior moments after leaving the store and how she handled the situation shrewdly instead of quietly walking away.
Anna said she saw the man inside Target while shopping for ice cream and snacks late at night. He was wearing a heavy jacket and hoodie despite the warm weather, and wasn't buying anything. When she finally walked past him near the exit, he immediately followed her, confirming her worst fears. Instead of walking away, Anna stopped and acted like she had forgotten something. When it was time to leave, she realized his car was parked close to hers, so she rolled her ice cream bag around her hand, smiled in a weird, psychotic manner, tilted her head, and began walking. She said, “The stalker is being stalked because I’m stalking you now. I'm going to be creepy to you now.” The unexpected move made him uncomfortable.
She got into her car, locked the doors, and continued staring right back at him. The man quickly got into his vehicle and drove away in the opposite direction. Anna advised others not to drive directly home if they suspect someone is following them and suggested making a few turns to confirm whether the person is still behind them. She shared that it is better to be cautious rather than ignore warning signs. To her luck, her hilariously smart move made the creep leave immediately, and she was able to go straight home. Her story encouraged others to stay alert during everyday activities, especially when they notice unusual behavior from strangers. She also urged viewers to trust their instincts, saying, “It’s better to be overreactive," than "become a statistic."
