Woman was quietly crying in her seat when a flight attendant approached — the anonymous passenger’s message changed her entire day
We all have moments where we’ve broken down after holding in the worry, exhaustion, and so much more for far too long. TikTok user Lora Velichkova, who goes by @iamloravelichkova, shared one such memory on July 28, 2026. She had boarded her flight and was silently crying in her seat because she was having a rough day. A little while later, a flight attendant approached her and said she had a message from a fellow traveler, along with a small gift. The kind gesture left the woman instantly relieved and grateful.

Like many, Velichkova didn’t want to bother others and was trying to get herself together after a difficult day. She cried it out and didn’t think much about the passengers nearby. However, one person saw her struggling and intervened without making her feel uncomfortable. The flight attendant came over to the woman, handed her a bottle of Prosecco, and said, “One of the passengers gave it to you; they don’t want to reveal their identity. I hope you enjoy.”
Velichkova was taken aback. She thanked the cabin crew member before adding, “That’s the type of kindness that can change someone’s day.” The woman noted that she had never experienced such thoughtfulness before. Hoping the kind stranger would see her message, she said, “Whoever that person is, thank you so much.” She then said that even if they didn’t get the video, she hopes they know that their gesture made a difference.
Velichkova even shared a glimpse of the glass filled with ice and the bottle of Prosecco that was offered during the flight. Travelers have their own challenges that they carry with them on their journeys. Others can extend a little kindness to make their burdens easier, just like this stranger did. In other cases, even giving a troubled passenger some space can make all the difference. In one such instance, a mom was grateful for a middle-aged passenger who did something similar. She was traveling with her husband and three young kids. The dad was seated with one child in the next row, and beside him was the man.
The kids kept making a fuss throughout the flight, and the parents did their best to ensure other travelers were not disturbed. However, at 3 a.m., one of the kids threw up, creating a mess. The woman frantically began cleaning the area. In all that chaos, she noticed the man get up and walk away from his seat. She was embarrassed as she wondered how much trouble she had caused.
While she thought he had requested a seat elsewhere from the crew, she was shocked to see him return shortly. When she spoke to him, he revealed that he got up and walked the aisles for a bit so the family could have some space until they all settled down. His simple act prompted the mom to thank him and express her appreciation.
