3-yr-old was stunned when preschooler proposed to her. Then she did what she thought was right — put him in a 'headlock'
Rejections might be the most sensible thing in some scenarios. But the ways in which some are done can hurt really bad. A preschooler's proposal must have brought him hurt; physically. It all happened when a boy asked 3-year-old Kynlee McFetridge to marry him. However, McFetridge was well aware that kids are not supposed to get married and ended up taking the best possible course of action that occurred to her. The girl's mom recorded a video as she confessed what she had done. It was later shared on Fox 2 News's Facebook page.
"What happened at school?" the girl's mom asked her. She admitted that she headlocked a boy and took him down. The mom wondered what the boy did or said to get his head locked. "Because kids don't get married. That's why I put a headlock on him," Kynlee explained. "Did he say he wanted to marry you?" the mom questioned and the girl confirmed that. The mom pointed out that this wasn't something she was supposed to do. "That's the greatest thing ever," the girl expressed but the mom continued to disagree with her and emphasize that she wasn't supposed to do that to other kids. "Let's not put headlocks on boys, okay."
"Are you still happy?" the girl continued. The mom replied, "I don't know" and continued to insist that it was not something she should do again. The little girl loves playing with slime and circle time and wants to be a princess when she grows up as per her interview with Fox 2 News. "I put a headlock on him because I wanted to marry Chelsea," the girl revealed. Chelsea is Kynlee's aunt. Kynlee's ability to headlock goes back to the time when her dad started wrestling with her to increase her strength. As a 5-month-old the little girl had to get an open heart surgery to correct heart defects known as the Trilogy of Fallot. She was behind kids her age in physical development. So her dad wrestled with her to improve her strength once she got a little better.
"That was my whole theory behind wrestling and roughhousing with her because she was behind the other kids. I was trying to make her stronger so she could catch up. In doing so, she got a little rough, I guess," the dad shared. When asked if it was a good or bad thing to put headlocks on people, Kynlee admitted that it was a "bad thing." Fortunately, Kynlee and the biy are still friends and have perhaps put the little spat behind them. People took to the comments section of the video to express their thoughts on the incident.
Deawn Rhodes wrote, "Get her into wrestling...Then she can headlock all the boys she wants to." Bethany Lien Cerpovicz commented, "My daughter was 6 when a little boy said he was going to marry her. She didn't hurt him, but she came home upset because "him marrying her" meant to move away from mommy and daddy. She very much considered it a threat, even though the little boy obviously didn't mean it as one." Latasha Campbell remarked, "I'm pretty sure he didn't say it once. Most likely he said it, she reacted and he kept teasing so she took him down!"
