8-yr-old wrote ‘letter to God’ when she couldn’t adopt dog—6 months later, a mail had the family stunned
Many kids might have conversations with God and would love to complain when things aren’t going their way. An 8-year-old girl was upset that she couldn’t adopt a dog and decided to notify God with a letter, Newsweek revealed. The mom, who goes by u/NormalAd2587, shared that she was really angry about the event and refused to take no for an answer. Detailing her dilemma in the letter, she made her way to the postbox. Around six months later, the family was stoked to find an unimaginable mail with something incredible. The mom explained how they already have a dog and for various reasons, didn’t want to get another.
“She got very upset, stormed off to her bedroom and came out an hour later with an envelope,” she wrote. She headed to the post and dropped it in. The address she added was, “To God, Cloud 9, Heaven.” No one knows what she thought of it and how she expected God to intervene and fix her problem. Call it an answered prayer or kind magic, six months later, there was an update about her complaint. In the mail, there was a letter waiting for the girl. With no return address, the parents were bewildered, trying to figure out who replied to “God’s” letter. Here’s what it said. “God says he hopes you don't mind someone else writing back to you, who knows him.”
The letter mentioned that God acknowledged the girl's love for canines. “He is also very pleased that you are so excited about one of his coolest creations. Did you know their sense of smell can be up to 40,000 times better than humans?! And they can smell human emotions and each one has its own individual nose print like a fingerprint!” the letter read. Trying to make the girl understand, the letter noted that God wanted the best for her and that meant that he’d “help you when the time is right for you to babysit and maybe work with dogs one day.”
Setting hopes up, it also called for the child to prepare herself to take care of dogs one day, right from learning everything about them to praying for them. “Keep praying about it, but not just about dogs, about everything. God has asked me to tell you he hears every prayer and answers them just at the right time...especially the ones about dogs,” the letter assured. The letter concluded with “kind regards, from a friend of God.” The confused mom wrote in her caption, “Who in God's name has replied to this letter....in God's name?” Nevertheless, the little girl was happy to know someone heard her plight.
“My daughter was delighted. She doesn’t quite understand who wrote the letter, but loved the mystery behind it and it’s always nice to have a letter answered,” the mom revealed. u/InfamousTelephone_55 revealed, “It's not Royal Mail policy to reply to such letters (although letters to Santa do get a Christmas card back from Santa), so I'm guessing that a kind person at the National Returns Center decided to send a response.” u/danny202089 said, “We did this at my delivery office. A young girl handed me a letter addressed to her cat that had recently died. Took it back to the office and we sent a letter back to her letting her know everything was fine and to look after her remaining cat with lots of attention and cuddles.”
