9-year-old girl picked one of the most difficult songs to perform and left Simon Cowell mindblown
Music has the power to touch hearts. However, for its full effect to be rendered, the singer must have the skill and heart to put into the song. There are several classics and timeless hits that many have failed to pull because of the command and poise they need to be performed with. One such song is “My Heart Will Go On,” a flawless song from the movie “Titanic” sung by the iconic artist Celine Dion. Her songs are some of the hardest to pull off, even for many professionals. However, after watching a video from 'America’s Got Talent,' shared by a channel titled YouTube Got Talent, maybe it’s just "Celine" who can pull it off. Not just Celine Dion but also a 9-year-old performer - Celine Tam.
The little girl left everyone who heard her on stage speechless with a soul-filling performance. She performed one of the most powerful pieces with just as much grandeur and boldness. Approaching the stage, she began her piece softly and sweetly. When she got to the increasingly stronger parts, nobody expected the little girl to put on a million-dollar performance. Right from tone, diction, and pitch, Tam was flawless with her vocals. The little girl displayed additional confidence on stage, which added to the aura of the performance.
At the end of it all, the judges were too stunned to believe that it was the little girl with such immense energy and talent. Earning a standing ovation from the audience, judge Simon Cowell, as impressed as he was, couldn't help but joke. “Celine, that was obviously not you singing so I want to know who that was,” he remarked. “Is that really you? You’re not kidding me?” he asked, completely baffled. “You are incredible,” he exclaimed. Judge Heidi Klum added, “You knocked it out of the park. Your notes were right, it was beautiful and you were beautiful, well done!” Still receiving cheers and applause, the girl was all smiles, and it was hard to believe that the delightful little soul had displayed so much confidence and power just moments ago.
Judge Howie Mandel appreciated Tam’s performance and how flawlessly she pulled it off as well. He added that her grace, poise, and talent were commendable and were the reason behind doing a show like 'AGT.' Several people commented on the video which has gone viral multiple times and has received tens of thousands of views on the platform alone. @vgamejosh8 commented, “This is one of the hardest songs to sing ever and she nailed it.” @sarah_kale added, “That vibrato indeed. Such technique and talent at such a young age! Imagine her voice when she grows up and keeps on getting the proper training.” Rightfully, the young girl has grown into a wonderful performer and has her own YouTube page where she posts covers and other magical performances.
