After his car broke down, a stranger pulled over to help — the moment he saw it was his idol, he froze in disbelief
A simple interaction can really make a person's day. However, when a man, Buku, was struggling because his car broke down, he wasn't expecting the singer, Justin Bieber, to pull up and change the course of his day. Buku, who is also a musician and goes by @bukumusic on TikTok, was having a really hard time and was stranded in the middle of the road because of his car. So when Bieber stopped by to ask about his situation, the man was really surprised. The brief clip of the encounter received over 10.9 million views.
"When your car breaks down and you've been trying so hard in life. It's just tough," the text overlay of the video read. The man looked quite upset as he waited by the side of the road for any possible help. "Moved to a big city. Trying to make it year by year," Buku expressed. Many people drove by and no one had stopped to help him. At some point, the man spotted Justin Bieber getting out of a car. He felt that he was hallucinating as the singer started walking towards him. "Justin Bieber just stopped to help," the man said, rubbing his forehead in pure confusion. "Are you Justin Bieber?" Buku asked. "Yeah, what's up, bro, Justin," the singer confirmed.
Buku was really excited to see Bieber, who gladly came forward to give him a hug. The man was even more surprised when the singer asked him about his problems and listened to him. Bieber listened to the man and also prayed for him, making his day a little better. The caption read, "Meeting Justin Bieber. Unforgettable moment…" Buku told PEOPLE, "My car had broken down and I was having a rough day, but Justin approached me with real empathy. He spoke to me like someone who understood what it feels like to struggle and still push forward." He pointed out how the singer offered him comfort when he really needed it.
He added, "As an independent artist, that moment hit me on a deeper level — it reminded me to stay grounded and keep going. He even said a deep prayer for me."
