It's always exciting to play cupid and match two people who can potentially be together. That's what a barista thought when she received a note from a man who asked her to pass it along with a coffee to the woman, Julia Griffin (@mrsgriffincreates), in the drive-thru. However, what Griffin said made the barista realize the real relationship between the two. Sharing her story with her Instagram followers on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Griffin revealed the truth about the man.

Griffin was in a drive-thru when the barista handed a note and a coffee, explaining that it was from a man who had come before her. It was a business card, and she instantly recognized it. The business card had his phone number and a love note written on it. She told the barista it was her husband who had bought the coffee, leaving the barista, who had been excited to play cupid, flustered. Griffin revealed that the duo has been married for 10 years and they're still "going strong."

A user under the comment section also noted that they had seen her husband dropping off flowers for her, which they found adorable. Griffin shared that she was thankful to her husband for keeping the relationship interesting through these little gestures. According to a study published in Psychology Today, lack of thoughtfulness and effort kills marriages. The report states that the key to keeping a relationship lively requires people to be proactive and curious about what their partner wants, and to make an effort to grow together. It also emphasizes that people in marriages must never stop dating their partners.

"A date should introduce a fresh configuration of the things your partner already loves or is at least curious about." According to Great Marriages, flirting with your spouse can bring back the reasons you were drawn to them in the first place. Taking a moment to compliment them or show affection can reignite that spark for both of you. Despite being married for 10 years, the man has never stopped cherishing his wife. His continued effort to make small, romantic gestures, similar to those in the early days of a relationship, is what keeps their bond strong.

Griffin's post drew attention from internet users, who shared their thoughts on the man's green flag behavior. @based.inqueery mentioned, "That definitely made her believe in love. Imagine a husband actually liking his wife." @adam.hawley.9 remarked, "10 years, he's still totally in love with you." @crayon_2_couleur joked, "You should give that guy a chance. You should go out on a date with him. I mean, he is married, but I'm sure his wife will not mind it." Meanwhile, @barb30james expressed, "That is so wonderful to hear! I'm so glad that you have a great husband."
