Brothers will never miss an opportunity to mock their sisters, but when they express love, it melts everyone's hearts. When his sister got accepted into nursing school, TikTok user Julio Caraballo (@juliocaraballo_) gifted her a stethoscope engraved with the word "Maybe." His sister, who looked puzzled, asked what the meaning behind the engraving was, and his explanation left her in tears. Caraballo shared the heartwarming TikTok video of the duo on December 27, 2025, which has garnered over 2.3 million likes.

Caraballo's sister had made it into nursing school, and as a present, he gave her a pink stethoscope etched with "Maybe." His sister, who was confused at first, inquired what the message behind the engraving was. He emotionally recalled the day his sister had called him, telling him that "maybe" nursing school wasn't meant for her. He wanted her to look back at the second time she had called him, informing him about getting accepted to nursing school. "I want you to know that 'Maybe' has no power over you," the brother exclaimed. He also did not forget to motivate her, "You're always smart enough, and I know you can do it."

The stethoscope engraved with "Maybe" served as a reminder for his sister that whenever she felt self-doubt, it would help her overcome her fears. "'Maybe' never stopped you; it's not going to stop you forever," he concluded. Following the brother's speech, his sister broke down in tears, unable to contain her love for him. In the caption of the video, Caraballo wrote, "Always going to be her biggest supporter." A 2025 report noted that positive encouragement and interaction among siblings were associated with greater self-confidence. The study, conducted using data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health, found that sibling relationships have a significant impact on a person's confidence. Caraballo's sister may have been feeling low self-esteem, but those heartwarming words of encouragement from her brother certainly boosted her spirit.

The now-viral video has garnered many reactions from online users. @MollyLuchsinger mentioned, "This video gets super blurry right after he starts explaining 'maybe,' just so y'all know." @bri_taters93 expressed, "How'd I get such an emotionally inept family? Your brother has more passion and love for you than I've seen from my family my whole life, bruh." @chickychee1 joked, "I can't handle this support. Is this what a non-toxic family is like?"

Caraballo and his sister's heartwarming bond reminds us of the story of a young woman and her older autistic brother, Ewen. The brother used to experience frequent aggressive episodes, which made communication harder. However, despite frequent meltdowns and emotional disconnect, the sister never gave up on her brother. She remained patient and present through the most frustrating moments. After years of failed attempts, he eventually shifted his behavior toward her and learned new ways to cope with his aggression. Eventually, he learned to accept her and to control his aggression. “Our days are still very tough, but we’re living proof that you can make it,” she admitted.
