Delivery man was caught on camera delivering parcel when it started raining—his thoughtful gesture left owner stunned
Sometimes a person might go above and beyond to ensure that other people are comfortable and safe. A delivery driver who arrived at a house to deliver a package while it was raining did something more for the owner, something no one was expecting him to do. The woman, Verrity Wandel, came to know about the gesture because of her doorbell camera footage and knew she had to share the kind gesture with the world. Wandel posted the brief clip on Instagram, where she goes by @verritywandel. The clip received over 6.1 million views.
Wandel had hung her bedsheets out on a clothes line to dry and was out of her house when it started raining. She was sure that she would come back home to find her wash completely wet, but there was a surprise in store for her. Just when it had started raining, a deliveryman arrived at her house. He left the package by the door and noticed her washing on the line. He immediately got to work and took the bedsheets off the line and put them in a safe place. "This is one in a million," Wandel wrote in the text overlay of the video. "The postie took off the washing from the line because it was raining," the woman remarked, with surprise evident in her tone.

"How is that for service?" the woman pointed out. "He is a good man," Wandel went on as the man left her house. "I was on my way home and the heavens opened. I thought there goes the sheets. When I got home, the line was empty," she recounted in the caption. "I had to watch the cameras to see what happened. The postie brought my wash in out of the rain." People appreciated the man's kind gesture in the comments section of the video.
