Gen Z man has eye-opening message to people who feel they're not good enough

The world is becoming increasingly competitive in terms of career, appearance, relationships and more. It can be easy for one to feel demotivated or disappointed by the fruit of their work. Seeing so many others way ahead in different fields of life can push one to think they’re not enough or not doing enough. A Gen Z man, Will Whitlock (@willwhittlock_), revealed that though a majority might look like they have it all together, there is so much more that goes unseen. He added an inspiring and honest message for those who feel like they’re lagging behind. It serves as a much-needed reminder for many.

The 25-year-old noted that many people, especially youngsters, are finding it tough to navigate life and are constantly comparing themselves to extremely high standards, per Newsweek. To bring a better perspective to light, the man noted, "It's funny how we live in a world where you can be so poor that all you have is money and you can be so ugly that all you have are good looks.” His words were astonishingly contradictory and at the same time, made sense on a deeper level. “You can be so lost that all you have is comfort and you could be so lonely that all you have is followers or fame,” Whitlock added.

The young man reshared the prominent aspects people are chasing and cautioned that there can still be a void even with all of those things. Sharing honest assurance, the young man said, “All these surface-level things that the world chases after, all these fleeting things, they're not what they seem and they don't give you the satisfaction or pleasure that you think they do.” He urged people to understand that there’s more to these shiny factors than what meets the eye. He went on to note that even people who seem to have everything and shine like the best representation of success might also be holding a void we know nothing about.

“So, the next time you look at someone and put them on a pedestal and think, 'I wish I lived the life they live,' you have no idea what insecurities that person has,” Whitlock remarked. He added, “You have no idea what they go through.” The man also mentioned that who we compare ourselves to might be totally different people, having different capabilities from us. “If all you have is on the surface, you don’t have much at all,” he pointed out. The 25-year-old concluded by noting that money is not equivalent to peace and good looks are not equivalent to a pure heart.

His message stood as a purposeful reminder for people to reconsider their priorities and know that each person is on the journey of life at their unique time. @lukegeddez wrote, “A majority of people will not understand what you’re saying but maybe one day, they will.” @hufflepuffqueen noted, “At the end of the day, it’s about how your heart feels in the night when the world is quiet and you’re alone. If it’s empty, then none of that material stuff matters.” @gaaboss said, “This man is spitting facts.” @stefanieridderstap remarked, “This is the kind of wisdom that needs to be shared and understood.”
