Girlfriend asks strangers after boyfriend says she has 'the hands of an obese person' — gets eye-opening responses

Every individual looks for a partner who is loving, supportive and understanding towards them in a relationship. A relationship should never be about putting each other down or negatively criticizing your partner, rather, it should be about uplifting one another. But there are some unfortunate people out there who are not blessed with an ideal partner. Not only that, their partners are always trying to bring down their spirits by making rude remarks about their bodies and appearances. A woman named Selene, who goes by @p4perdoII on X, has found herself in an ugly situation.

Looking at her post, a lot of X users could deduce that Selene has been putting up with the wrong person as her boyfriend who is doing everything to make her feel insecure about her body. "Are my hands fat? My boyfriend says I have the hands of an obese person," the caption of her X post read. Along with it, she attached a picture of her hand which appeared fairly slender instead of being chubby. People on the internet could not understand why would her boyfriend make a mean comment about her and they supported her in the comment section.

@AikawaKostya pointed out, "Your boyfriend has to be your worst enemy because you got skinny people's hands all the way." @dox_doxkitty mentioned, "Stop asking if your boyfriend is right and start asking if your boyfriend should be your boyfriend." @z_luvs_milfs joked, "I’m tripping on mushrooms and your hands are warping so funny I’m like in a trance." @miko_is_silly commented, "I hope it's an ex-boyfriend now. How can anyone say that to someone else? Especially your partner?" 

@abbycattttt added, "My hands are significantly larger than this and this tweet actually makes me want to vomit." Selene replied to several comments and thanked the people on X for the overwhelming support and kind words. She also further added in the comments that her boyfriend is usually nice but he makes rude comments about her hands. "I asked him if he thought I was fat and he said my waist and legs are average but my hands are obese," Selene wrote in a comment. She also wished everything to be alright in their relationship once she loses weight. However, people on the internet warned her that her boyfriend might make up something else to criticize her after her weight loss. Hence, a vast majority of comments suggested she dump him.

While Selene needed a bit of push from the strangers to recognize her worth, there was a bride who fought back immediately after getting verbally abused by her new husband. A bride and groom in Kuwait had the shortest marriage ever, which lasted only 3 minutes, all thanks to a rude remark by the groom. After tying the knot, the bride reportedly stumbled and tripped while exiting the court with her new husband after they had signed their marriage contract. Instead of helping his wife, the man called her "stupid" for tripping. Refusing to take the disrespect, the bride went back in to annul her marriage and it was granted immediately.
