Rude salesman refused to let woman test drive a BMW. She had the perfect response.

Employees are expected to treat customers professionally and kindly. Their default approach should be welcoming, no matter the nature of their job. A customer-employee relationship affects the customer’s purchase and relationship with the brand. No one would want to purchase, recommend, or revisit a store or company where they were mistreated as customers. When a woman named Tamiaa (@ta.mia.a) faced a rude and unprofessional salesperson at a car dealership, she had the best response, reported The Daily Dot. 

The woman had gone to purchase a BMW car and visited the showroom to finalize one. As she was thoroughly checking her options, the woman was excited and impressed by the various features and styles the car had. She captured all of it in her video which has since been deleted. However, while Tamiaa was admiring the car and taking in her moment, she felt the car dealer judging her. The woman explained that he was being rude and discriminated against her. She was just expressing herself and her excitement to purchase the car but the salesman seemed to be judgemental throughout. That was not all, when the woman wanted to test-drive the car, the man refused. This gave the woman enough reason to take a stand for herself and take action.

Tamiaa decided not to purchase the car from the particular showroom. She gladly obliged in ensuring the salesman “missed out on a big commission” due to his carelessness and unprofessionalism. “I’m not gonna buy from here cause the [salesman] was being rude, talking about … I can’t take it on a test drive if I’m not doing the application,” Tamiaa mentioned in her clip. She took all the time she needed to inspect the car but decided to let the salesperson’s time go to waste. People applauded Tamiya for her calm and firm reaction to the situation. They pointed out that walking away was undoubtedly the best thing to do.

Many resonated with Tamiaa's situation. @yera_rb shared her experience with a Toyota dealership, "This happened to me at Toyota like your loss." Many mentioned that apart from being judged, not being allowed to test drive for various unprofessional reasons is also a rude reality for many. @purrlianna was sure Tamiaa was getting profiled and remarked, "They let you test drive without an application unless it's new and they have low inventory. He was profiling you, most definitely."

A few mentioned how respect comes before everything for them. They revealed that they too have walked out on purchases solely due to disrespect and lack of kindness and professionalism on the seller’s end. @northernchill12 exclaimed, "I'm just like this! When I go to make large purchases, I'm ready to buy because I've already done my research. But a rude representative will talk me out of buying that day."
