Living in the 21st century, even those born in the 90s are considered the older generation. The millennials, though having picked up and become the experienced bunch, are still no match to the Gen X. Each era is different and so was the case in the 80s. It is likely that the younger people have no idea about the trends, icons and other aspects of the 80s. But that’s not a worry. Actor Kevin Bacon, a legendary celebrity from the 80s, shared his input about the time, per Mashable. His message dedicated to the millennials is hysterically apt even for younger generations. If you don’t know much about decades, Bacon is here with his epic humor to help.

Beginning the video in a sarcastically serious tone, the actor introduced himself and said, “I would like to talk to you about the 80s awareness.” He noted that a “certain demographic” has seen a decline in the awareness of the “80s technologies.” “I’m talking to you millennials. All of you guys born after 1985 have no idea how hard life was,” the “Footloose” actor said. Sharing an instance of life back then, he noted, “If I was too shy to ask a girl out, we didn’t have Tinder. I had to go to the white pages and call her house. Then you had to make small talk with her mom for 20 minutes before she even came to the phone.”

Even rejection and breakups were deeply felt back in the 80s. “When she turned you down, you couldn’t even just swipe away the hurt,” he remarked. Bacon was on a roll with citing the favorites of the Gen X and it was a far-distant idea or ancient concept to the younger generations. “You want to know my favorite app? Rubix cube,” he noted. Talking about history, the actor mentioned how Russia was even more a place of concern due to the Cold War. “You couldn’t even skate to a blockbuster without getting nuked,” he mentioned.

Noting each unhinged reality from the 80s, the actor used his skill to put it forward in such a sarcastic way that it actually left the younger generation baffled. For those who don’t know Bacon’s style, the video is surely going to be a shock. As he was speaking, the camera panned away from him, causing the actor to note another issue. “Hey! I’m trying to make a point here. Can you pay attention for more than two minutes?” he asked. Hysterically agitated with the new trends, Bacon left, only to find a line of millennials waiting outside the theater.

Giving them a hilariously disappointed look, he remarked, “You people will never know the comfort of parachute pants.” While he walked off, the millennials were still trying to figure out what parachute pants were. Guess he’s not wrong, eh? The 80s kids related hard with what seemed to be timeless humor for them. @7pines77 said, “Being a kid in the 80s was the best. I miss those years.” @Polpiv4tifish added, “On a serious note, I'm sure a lot of people miss the days of going to the video shop. I know I do.”
