The man's post was relatable for a lot of people who were amused but mentioned that their dads would do the same.

Fatherhood is an experience that turns a person into a completely different human being and inspires an individual to develop heartwarming traits. The best part is that no one teaches them to incorporate these qualities and change their lifestyles. This is something a man who goes by @djbewbz on X, formerly known as Twitter, also witnessed, when he saw his father do the “most dad thing” out of the blue.

The man mentioned that he and his dad took a trip to the local Walmart, a place considered a heaven for dads. With loads of supplies and products that suit their personalities, nothing can stop dads them from wandering the aisles and exploring. So it wasn't surprising that the man's father went on a Walmart adventure to see what he could find through the “dad” lens. But when the son couldn't locate his father, he began brainstorming as to where he could find his old man. Based on his experience, he headed to the gardening section and found his father doing one of the “daddest” things one could ever do.

Instead of buying plants or seeds or lecturing the staff or a fellow customer, the man's father was watering the plants in the garden section, which is a completely mundane thing to do after wandering around in a Walmart. Holding the hose as if it were at his own house, the old man was completely aloof about where his son might be, since he was too engrossed in watering the plants. People chuckled at this but were not surprised, given that he is a dad and has the “dad hunch” for doing such things by default.

@IamFarmerRennee wrote, “This is something my dad would do.” @Grinkle7 exclaimed, “Walmart has absorbed another.” @yvapraia added, “Who amongst us hasn't recovered a wandering elder in a box store gardening center doing what they do best.” Dads are best when they’re doing things the dad way because such gestures come straight from the heart, with no filters. A young woman named Jacqueline Rose also shared how her dad showed his fatherly instincts for her at a time when she had just learned of her divorce and was feeling empty and lying in bed. Her father wanted to cheer her up but was a little awkward when it came to communicating the same.

He wasn’t sure what to say but wanted to be there for her and ended up doing the most unhinged, dad thing ever. The man entered Rose's room and casually began to play Dua Lipa’s “Rocket Man.” Rose was unsure what to make of the situation but later realized that her adorable dad was just trying his best to be there for her. She wrote, “Boomer dad didn’t know what to do, so he played his favorite song, the Dua Lipa ‘Rocket Man’ remix.” While there wasn’t a lot of advice or a rant, the daughter still felt understood and supported, which is just what children need from their fathers sometimes!
