She shared the moment on Instagram on October 7, 2026, and his completely unfazed response made her realize how much things may be changing.
Elle said she was at first hesitant to ask her son for the favor, telling him, "I need you to do something for me. And you're not going to like it." But when she explained she needed him to pick up tampons, the 17-year-old didn't make it awkward. Instead, he simply asked, "Oh, that's not weird. Super Tampax, right?" a response that left his mom more surprised than the request itself. What really caught Elle off guard was how her son made the whole thing seem normal. She said that in her 42 years, she had never asked a man to buy tampons for her without feeling some level of embarrassment, even though she knew there was nothing strange about it. Her son's casual reaction made her realize how different his attitude was, and she admitted, "I am so in awe of this kid."
