Mom helped a young woman uncomfortable with a man behind her in an airport queue — what her teen daughter did next made her proud

She said there was a man standing behind her, and she seemed uncomfortable. So she and her almost-16-year-old daughter came up with a way to help. The mother mentioned that the young woman was standing behind her and her daughter when a man in his 30s started chatting with her. Her daughter quickly noticed that the woman seemed very uncomfortable, so they intervened and worked with the woman ahead of them to let her move in front of them in the security line. When the man asked, "What about me?" and complained that it was "super kind and also rude," the woman posting the story told him, "Girls look out for girls." Her daughter then started typing messages on her phone and showing them to the young woman so the man couldn't hear what they were saying, making sure she knew they were there to support her. Her little gesture left her mother praising her for going out of her way to help keep her safe.
Once they got the young woman ahead of them, the woman and her daughter stayed aware of where she was and made sure she wasn't left dealing with the man alone. They eventually learned that the woman was taking the same flight, so they walked her safely to the gate, where a friend was waiting for her.
