Children might show more compassion and empathy than one can imagine at times. One mom was also surprised when her two-year-old told her to wait for a couple of minutes when his baby brother started crying in his crib. The kid quickly ran upstairs and looked after his brother until he stopped crying. The unprompted action left the mom, Natasha Sandhu, completely surprised. So she shared the moment on Instagram, where she goes by @natashamsandhu. The video received over 559,000 views.

"This is the moment my two-year-old heard his little brother wake up unsettled and told me to sit still and wait for two minutes," the text overlay of the video read. The toddler could be seen telling his mom to wait for a couple of minutes. He quickly ran upstairs to check on his little brother. The baby monitor captured the moment the boy, Addison, went to his little brother's crib and pacified his little brother so his mom could rest. He rubbed the baby's chest as the little one calmed down after a while. When he started leaving, the baby cried again. So the toddler turned around to check on his brother once more. The kid realized that the baby's pacifier had fallen out, so he gave it back to the baby.

Addison was proud of what he had managed to do and went back to his mom after putting the pacifier in the baby's mouth. "The most wholesome thing I think I have ever witnessed. This was all on him. I didn't prompt him at all and I've never even shown him how to do this," the caption explained. "It's not always just milestones you are proud of, but moments like this, when they show love, care and empathy. I am so proud of you, Addison, not only for taking care of your little brother but me, too. I am so proud to be your mamma and of the little gentleman you are becoming." The mom went on, "This is something I will tell your little brother forever and how much you care for and look after him."

People appreciated the adorable moment in the comments section of the video. @ricreatesuccess wrote, "Oh my god, this has melted my heart. The kindest, sweetest little soul. You should be proud of how you've raised him; he's only copying what he witnesses and that is you, Mama." @naomiandmabel34 commented, "He's the most beautiful, lovely little boy I think I have ever seen. You are absolutely blessed and must feel beyond proud. He has so much empathy for such a young age."

@mandamanlynn remarked, "I wish I had seen this when I was pregnant with my second. I spent my entire pregnancy mad at myself for having another." @kendellolleyxo shared, "Oh my goodness, this is the sweetest thing ever. 100% confirmed to me, one child is not enough." @jknav10 expressed, "As a mom carrying my second and feeling guilty for my first baby, I needed this. I know my big boy will be a great big brother." @yourkinaesthetics pointed out, "It's so obviously saying everything you say. Crying while watching this. We've got the exact same age gap; it's perfect." In another video, the mom shared a clip of the two brothers hugging each other and expressed that a parent's love doesn't get divided, but gets doubled.
