Sometimes kids show great wisdom at unexpected moments. A girl showed the same kind of maturity when a few girls in her class bullied her about her hair. She was telling her mom about the incident in the car and her mom told her how to respond to it. But the way the girl responded to her bullies left her mom in awe. The woman, Ana T, who goes by @anacf93 on TikTok, shared her daughter's kind response to the bullies.

As the mom drove the girl from school to home, she told her how two of her classmates mocked her by saying that her hair smelled as they stood in front of her and behind her. The mom was quite stunned and sad about what her daughter had to experience. Ana told Newsweek, "It hurt my mom heart. She has the most beautiful curly hair, but it's different from the hair the rest of the girls have in her class, so some comments have been made. To see your child sad or dealing with any negativity is always hard." As her daughter continued narrating the incident, the mom pointed out, "Well, that was very rude." She added, "Well, just know that you have the most gorgeous hair." The girl thanked her mom for the compliment before Ana started telling her daughter how she should have responded.

"When someone is being rude, you just tell them that wasn't very nice. That hurt my feelings," Ana highlighted. The woman asked her daughter what she had said and that turned the entire conversation around. "I basically said, well, I like your headband, I like your hair, I like your shoes, I like your dress, I like your earrings," the girl recounted. The mom was surprised by her daughter's kind answer and told her, "That's an even better answer than mine." She continued, "Pico, when someone is rude, you can just tell them nice things about them. That is the sweetest thing." The mom told the outlet, "It's easier to respond to negative comments with more negativity, but kindness works. Kindness can be contagious."

A few days after the incident, Pico came home and told her mom how the same girls who bullied her complimented her dress and jacket, as well as her shoes. The mom thought that she was going to give her five-year-old a life lesson, but she ended up getting one herself. People shared their thoughts on the incident in the comments section. @jennenergy1111 wrote, "Are you kidding me! The articulation, the reasoning and the premium soul positivity. Better than all those kids in front and back."

@naynay8553 commented, "She’s spot on! My mom used to say, 'The meanest and rudest people sometimes need kindness more than anyone!' And what a great way to make those girls feel awful! Can’t bring her down!" @justinetylerrom remarked, "She just said, 'Kill them with kindness' without even knowing it. Please do not change ever, baby girl." Another user shared, "You should be so proud to have raised such a great young lady. We can always learn from children."
