Traveling while pregnant requires extra care, not just from the mom but also from others. Being as patient as possible with the mom’s needs during this time can be a much-needed source of support. A woman named Brittany Kamerman recalled how a pilot’s generosity and support helped her pregnant friend, Kiley, not miss her trip, Newsweek reported. Seven women, including Kamerman had planned a girls’ trip and had a connecting flight to catch. Unfortunately, because their previous flight was delayed, they were pressured to rush to make it to the next boarding. The pregnant woman, Kiley, couldn’t strain herself and when the crew refused to wait, the pilot stepped in with a selfless and kind action to save the day.

The friends were traveling from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Panama City Beach, Florida. "We had a 45-minute layover in Dallas, but our first flight was delayed by 50 minutes, so I was fully prepared for us to miss our connection," Kamerman recalled. They landed just 30 minutes before their connecting flight could take off and it was on them to rush in time. There was an 18-minute walk before they could arrive at the boarding gate. Since Kamerman was at the front, she rushed as fast as she could to alert the airlines of their delay. She met one of her friends, who had taken another flight previously and was already there.

Kameran requested the airlines to wait, especially since Kiley was seven months pregnant and the walk would be a tedious task. "But the gate agents were so rude—I was shocked," she remarked. "I fly a lot and usually if a group is running to make a connection because of a delay—especially to a tiny airport that closes at 10 pm — the agents will wait. I even told them we had a pregnant friend coming, but I don't think they believed me,” she explained. All their efforts to buy time were in vain and they were moments away from missing their plane.

Amid this chaos and worry, while Kamerman was trying everything she could, the pilot happened to overhear the conversation. When he intervened, the woman explained the issue and that they were awaiting their pregnant friend. Without a second thought, the man expressed his delight to help with a powerful statement. “Well, they won't leave without me,” he said. The man proceeded to get off the plane and wait at the gate. In a video shared on TikTok by Kamerman, the women are seen triumphantly hurrying over to board their plane.

All their faces showed grateful smiles of relief for a gentleman who intervened with thoughtful action. "He was so nice and actually got off the plane to help. I couldn't believe it!" Kamerman remarked. Several people commended the pilot’s actions. @goddessdoctor wrote, “As someone who works in the airlines, good on the pilot because they’re the only ones that can make that call.” Kiley (@kileymcp) also commented on the video, saying, “Thank God for that pilot because I would have died.” @anaraguseo added, “I love humanity.”
