Efforts in relationships make the bonds stronger, but some people take their partners for granted. TikTok user Jules (@bygirljuless) works as a server at a bar overnight, and since her car was down the previous week, she called her boyfriend asking if he could come and pick her up. She did not think much when he sent an Uber instead of personally driving her home. A week later, his friend called at midnight, and she saw his true priorities. Sharing the story with a piece of advice to her TikTok followers on January 3, 2026, she revealed the immediate decision she made after noticing the problem.

When her boyfriend answered the call, she understood that he was half asleep, since it was already 2 a.m. Her boyfriend asked if he could send her an Uber instead and expressed his difficulty picking her up. Jules brushed it off and decided to get back home in an Uber. A week later, as she was asleep, her boyfriend received a call from his friend around 2 a.m. She revealed that his friend needed a ride back home and requested her boyfriend to pick him up. However, when she saw her partner immediately respond and drive off to help his friend, she knew she needed to dump her boyfriend.

She further revealed that her boyfriend informed her that he needed to pick up his friend and left the house. Jules, who was clearly shocked by his immediate response to his friend's request, was heartbroken. However, she did not pick a fight. As he left to pick his friend up, she packed her bags and left the home, never to return. She noted that after her boyfriend returned, he tried reaching out to her to apologize.

However, Jules decided to stand her ground and end the relationship for good. She remarked that women must take everything their partner does at face value. She ignored his calls and texts and said, "Men will do everything for their homies." She warned women that any man who prioritizes their friends over their partners is a red flag.

Jules' video gained massive traction from internet users who echoed her sentiments in the comments. @Nicole praised, "As a 50-year-old woman who took decades to learn this lesson, seeing all you young women knowing your worth and blowing the patriarchy to smithereens makes me so happy!" @KizzyB023 mentioned, "I love that you did it quietly, these girls be yelling and arguing... Never—your silence is louder than any words you can ever speak." @Saturdayzed recounted, "Took his roommate to the airport at 3 a.m. weeks before leaving me stranded at the same airport at midnight, it was the holidays, the Lyft cost me $100."
