She slapped a drunk girl at the pub for attacking her boyfriend — but one realization after driving away made her turn back and protect her instead
When alcohol clouds someone's judgment, the people around them can play a crucial role in keeping them safe. One woman recently shared how an argument outside a club unexpectedly turned into a rescue she never saw coming. In a TikTok video posted on May 9, 2026, under the handle @inyourfacce, she recalled confronting a drunk stranger who had become aggressive toward her and her boyfriend. What happened after they left the scene made her rethink the entire situation and led her to return.
The woman explained that she and her boyfriend had noticed a stranger crouching near their car as they were leaving the club, so they first gave her privacy. When she later checked if the woman was alright, the stranger responded with insults, and the situation quickly escalated. After the drunk woman pushed her boyfriend's face, the girlfriend reacted by slapping her. The storyteller then decided to drive away; however, she soon realized they had left a heavily intoxicated woman alone on the roadside at around 2 a.m. They immediately turned back and found her sitting alone while another man stood nearby. The woman asked the stranger to get into their car and confronted the man, warning him not to take advantage of someone who was clearly vulnerable.
The couple then decided the safest option was to take the woman home themselves. Using the identification card she had dropped, they found her address and drove her about 40 minutes to her mother's house. Looking beyond anger to recognize when someone is in danger can make a real difference, as shown in this case. During the earlier encounter, another man had approached and appeared to be trying to engage with the intoxicated woman as well, reinforcing the couple's concern that she could have been taken advantage of if they had not returned. Reflecting on the decision, she admitted, “I was really glad we went back.”
After reaching the house, the woman was safely reunited with her family, although an argument reportedly followed after they arrived. Despite everything that had happened earlier in the night, the TikTok creator said she felt relieved knowing she had done what she could to make sure the stranger reached home safely. She and her boyfriend then left, believing that protecting someone in a vulnerable state mattered more than the unpleasant encounter that had happened before.
Places like clubs can quickly become unsafe, especially for someone who is alone. In another incident, a woman shared a similar experience after believing her drink had been tampered with during a night out. After having only a few sips, she began feeling extremely unwell and was mistakenly treated as if she were simply drunk. As she struggled to stay conscious, two strangers stepped in and reassured her, “We’ve been through this before; we're going to help you.” She later suspected something was wrong after noticing a man staring at her earlier. Looking back, she called the women angels, saying their help completely changed the course of her life.
