She thought her date fat-shaming her over two scoops of ice cream was the biggest red flag — until he pulled up photos of his exes
You never really know what you're walking into on a first date until the little things start adding up. For TikTok user Jackie O, it happened while she was getting ice cream with a Hinge match she had met, after not dating for a while. In a video posted on August 10, 2026, under her handle @jackie.o436, she recalled that they were supposed to meet at an ice cream shop at noon, but Dylan arrived at 1 p.m., saying he’d been hanging out with the boys and lost track of time. He questioned her two scoops, told her he preferred girls who were “a little thinner,” called her “chipmunk cheeks,” and later called her a “fat a**” in his car. But that was only the tip of the iceberg; the devil was in the details.
When Jackie asked about his exes, Dylan said they were “all crazy” and claimed, “30 of them cheated on me.” He pulled out his phone and began scrolling through photos of the women, reducing one to “b****h” and dismissing another as someone who made him food but “cheated on me.” As they stood in line, Dylan told her she should feel lucky he was taking her out in broad daylight because she wasn't his “typical girl.” Jackie thought he was complimenting her. When the cashier turned the payment screen toward them, she looked at Dylan. He looked straight at Jackie. Jackie asked if he wanted her to pay. “I mean, yeah,” Dylan said, before adding that he wasn't going to “condone being a ‘fat a**.’”
Even the cashier seemed to realize how uncomfortable the situation had become. In the car, he rolled down the windows, blasted music, and began trying to race other cars. Jackie eventually asked him to take her home. He refused and instead told her the night was just getting started and that he had a surprise for her. He drove her to his apartment in a high-rise building and told her to make herself comfortable while he went to get drinks.
Jackie was sitting in the apartment when she heard a knock at the door. When she saw who was standing outside, she finally understood Dylan's “surprise.” A blonde woman walked in. Dylan then kissed her while looking directly at Jackie. She sat frozen, watching the man who had spent the afternoon telling her what women were supposed to do reveal exactly how little those rules applied to him.
A seemingly casual comment about a woman’s body can expose a much bigger problem in how a date views and treats her, and Dylan’s behavior is the first of several escalating red flags. In another incident, Instagram user Melissa Nicole’s date made the encounter uncomfortable from the start when he told her he had seen her “fat pictures” from after she gave birth. She was proud of her body and pushed back on the comment, but the exchange became even more telling when he followed it by asking if they were going to have a second date. She evidently declined and added, “I’m proud of the way I look. I worked hard for this life, and I’m not going to hide it behind a turtleneck.”
