Sister found brother's childhood proposal plan and hid it for a decade - she finally read it on his wedding day
Siblings always have a bittersweet relationship. They always try to find the best opportunities to poke fun at each other but they also love each other to death. One sister made her brother's wedding day special by revealing his epic handwritten letter that she found decades ago. Hope Carew, a comedy and commentary content creator on TikTok who goes by @hopecarewisbrave, shared a video from her brother's wedding day. Carew took to the stage to deliver a speech but then she decided to bring out something personal to her brother.
Carew has been holding onto a letter her brother wrote privately when he was 9 years old. She patiently hid it and decided to bring it out on his big day and read it in front of him, his bride and the wedding guests. Her brother had once written a secret proposal letter for his future wife. "Found my brother's proposal plans from when he was 9," a text overlay in the video read. "I saved them for a decade to read at his wedding." "Don't kill me," she presumably talked to her brother who was standing off-camera. Carew has even laminated the paper to keep it intact. "We are 25 and I am a multi-billionaire," she started reading as everyone instantly cracked up.
"And I am a multi-billionaire who is madly in love with you. No. 1: Cincinnati to Cabo San Lucas. It is midnight and I sneak you onto our private jet. You wake up while we're in the air and I don't tell you where we are, but I kiss you and tell you I have everything taken care of," Carew continued reading as more bouts of laughter erupted in the room. Then the camera finally panned over to her brother and he appeared covering his face and kneeling over by his bride. "We get there and I give you my credit card and tell you to do whatever you want," Carew read on as her brother pretended to walk away from the venue.
"But to be back to the hotel by 7 o'clock. When you get back I'm not there. But the butlers escort you down to the beach, where I am waiting with a romantic blanket setup and wine. We drink a few glasses and then begin to make out," Carew read and looked over at her brother, smiling. "The next day, we leave for another location on my Yacht. No. 2. Cabo San Lucas to French Polynesia. On the yacht, we have a very romantic time." She turned the paper around to show the audience what was written on it. "Three hearts," she showed to the guests.
"Then when we get there I buy you a ton of pearls. And Alyssa, I think you're gonna want this part framed: I will buy you whatever you want and I obey your every command," Carew addressed her sister-in-law. Her brother, at his tender age, had also fantasized about how he would take his bride from French Polynesia to Paris and take her around the city in a Rolls Royce. In the letter, Carew's brother had also made little illustrations to support his narrative. "Then I take you to the top of the Eiffel Tower and ask: Will you marry me? With a $130 million diamond ring. You say yes and then we go back to our hotel and have lots of romance," Carew concluded.
The users on TikTok were impressed by how a boy at a young age was so thoughtful at planning an extravagant proposal for his future life partner while grown-up men barely put an effort these days. @maddie_hoinka commented, "He had more date-planning ability at 9 than most men have now at 30." @sincyplansdisney joked, "Cabo San Lucas to French Polynesia via yacht is a hell of a trip." @april_rt added, "But the fact that at 9 he wanted to be able to give his future wife the world is everything." @em.r.m99 mentioned, "I’ve heard of so many little girls planning their weddings but this is the first I’ve heard of a little boy planning his proposal."
