Stranger approached a woman dining alone to say ‘women like you bother me’ — his bizarre reason left her stunned
A quiet meal can instantly turn uncomfortable when a stranger chooses to interrupt it like an uninvited guest. This was what one lifestyle content creator, Cesarina, experienced while enjoying a dinner all by herself. She was focused on herself when a man approached her table and made an odd comment about not liking women like her. She later shared the experience on her Instagram account, @itscesarsdaughter, on July 15, 2026, about how the simple outing became unbearable after the interaction.
After the remark, the man eventually explained that women who dine alone deliberately seek male attention. He commented that such women simply want "men to approach you," adding that it does not make sense to him why a pretty lady like herself would wish to step out for a solo dinner when she could have any company she wants. Cesarina simplified it for him, explaining that she was simply hungry and thirsty, so she stopped at the restaurant for dinner.
The exchange became more uncomfortable as the man continued questioning her choice. The lifestyle creator noted that a man dining alone likely wouldn't face the same questions, while women often do. When he asked if she was "one of those feminist types," she said yes and ended the conversation to avoid the situation turning physical. Her choice to walk away showed that protecting her peace mattered more than winning the argument. The man even suggested she could have ordered takeout and eaten at home instead.
Cesarina said the absurd interaction had completely changed her mood and she just "lost my appetite." She added that men can have a hard time seeing a woman enjoying herself alone without feeling the need to disrupt her peace. Her experience showed how a simple decision to have a solo dinner can also be judged by a stranger who knows nothing about the person or her reasons.
Dining alone as a woman often gets unnecessary attention from others, as shown in another incident. A married woman was enjoying dinner by herself when a stranger approached her and started a conversation. She politely told the man she was married, had children, and was not interested in entertaining anyone, but the stranger continued trying to persuade her. Adding, "I would love to have dinner with a beautiful woman, though." When she refused again, he questioned if she didn't need a "break," to which she boldly responded with, "I am not going to ask you again, and if you don’t walk away, one of two things is going to get broken tonight, either your ego or something else." The comment finally made the man step away, and she was able to continue her meal without further interruption.
