In another video, she explained how her dog passed away due to cancer a few months ago, and things took a harder toll on the family. She had started DoorDash to help with finances, but even then, it was a real struggle. Being aware of the fact, Lesley decided to do a tiny grocery run, carefully figuring out what she really needed to get. She had carried $50 with her, assuming that she would stay within budget. The mom had noted everything she needed and made calculations to ensure she didn’t run out of cash. One can only imagine how helpless the feeling might have been, planning under all the pressure.
To her surprise, when she arrived at the cashier, she was told that she owed only $3. Turns out, the person in front of her had already paid for her. “To whoever paid for my groceries, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she said while still sobbing. “I’ve never had anything like that happen to me before,” she added. The mom “broke down” as soon as she heard those words from the cashier.
