Having a canine companion means an influx of love and support every moment of every day. They are not just great friends but also turn into saviors for their humans on many occasions. One such loyal companion managed to save the life of her owner when he was involved in a car crash back in 2022, according to the reports of WWNYTV. It was January 3 of that year when a brave dog named Tinsley led New Hampshire police troopers to the site of the crash.

The New Hampshire State Police jumped into action after they responded to the report of a loose dog near the Vermont border at 10 p.m. that day. As the troopers tried to approach Tinsley, she kept running away and eventually crossed over to Vermont. The troopers promptly followed the dog and they reached a spot where a pickup truck had rolled over the guardrails and it was mangled up. "As the officers investigated further, they realized that both occupants of the pickup truck had been ejected from the vehicle and were hypothermic and seriously injured. Trooper Sandberg and the Lebanon Police Officers were able to quickly call for medical assistance," the North Hampshire State Police wrote on a Facebook post

The troopers soon learned about Tinsley and how she belonged to the driver of the pickup truck. It became obvious to the officers that Tinsley was cleverly leading them to the site of the crash. The police department added in the post that Tinsley was safe and doing well. Cam Laundry, Tinsley's owner and the driver of the pickup truck, told NBC Boston about his furry companion's remarkable act. “She’s my little guardian angel, you know?” Laundry lauded Tinsley, a 1-year-old Shiloh Shepherd. As the Vermont State Police investigated the crash further, it was revealed that 31-year-old Laundry was intoxicated when he met with an accident.

Though he escaped with minor injuries, the passenger of Laundry's pickup truck was admitted to the hospital with severe injuries. A statement from the Vermont State Police mentioned that throughout the rescue operation, Tinsley stood by her owner's side as the troopers assisted Laundry and the passenger to safety. Unfortunately, there was a bulldog in the car who was killed in the accident. Laundry was eventually charged with driving under the influence.

“It was a wake-up call,” Laundry admitted, according to the outlet, wishing his friend a speedy recovery. He was feeling extremely sorry for the loss of the bulldog. People reacted to the Facebook post shared by the New Hampshire State Police and commended Tinsley for her quick actions. Patty Buswell Lefavour exclaimed, "That’s a truck? Wow! Glad the dog is okay and got the occupants the help they needed! Thank you to NHSP for following up with the dog!" Shelby Moore wrote, "That truck is in horrible shape. Praying for those involved in the crash and amazingly, the dog was able to get help!" Carol Gagnon added, "Such a smart dog! If it weren't for the concern that this dog has for her human, they may have died in this cold. Tinsley deserves a medal."
