UPS driver hears barking at the door and immediately returns to place a surprise on package—now hailed a 'hero'

Kindness comes in all shapes and forms. For one family, it came in the shape of milk bones. A UPS driver had come in to deliver a package at a woman's house. He kept the package outside the door. However, just as he tried to inform the family about the package through the doorbell camera, he heard a sound that made him turn around and do something special and unexpected. The recepient, Ali Haas, who goes by @_alihaas on TikTok, shared the man's kind gesture with the platform. The brief video received over 50,900 views.

As the video began, the UPS driver walked up to the house with two large packages and put them by the door carefully. The man then knocked on the door to inform the owners about the delivery and started walking away. But as soon as he knocked, he heard a dog bark from inside the door. It caught his attention and he turned around to leave a special treat for the dog, right on top of the parcel. He had left two milk bones for the dog and turned around and left. The entire incident was captured by the doorbell camera. "The way this man turned around when he heard my dog bark without any hesitation," the grateful owner wrote in the text overlay of the video.

The video received over 9000 likes and people thought that the little gift from the delivery man was indeed a beautiful and memorable gesture for both the dog and Haas. Many others also shared similar experiences that they've had during such brief interactions in the comments section of the video.
@commpic wrote, "My regular UPS guy, who never met my bulldog, left a bone the week after we put my dog down. Told him we had to put him down and all we had was our little dog. Next delivery was a little treat and a Sorry for your loss card." @bdowd79 commented, "I'm a UPS driver and I go through two jumbo boxes a week. I absolutely love how excited the dogs get when they see me! They run to me for a treat, not a bite." @birdico remarked, "Our UPS driver even leaves treats when our dog isn't home. She's had our route for years and keeps up with how many dogs we have and always has the right number of treats."

@smcnamara70 shared, "Won’t mention the app for fear they will get into trouble, but the delivery person asked if they could pet my dog. So they came inside and played with her for a few minutes, got a bottle of water and said hope to see you again! Kindness costs nothing." @the.lovelyxrose expressed, "The UPS man at my parents' house loved my girl and would always want to give her treats and pets and often asks my mom (if they see each other) how my dog is doing." In another video, Haas shared a video of her dog, Reggie, with a ball, as many people wanted to see her after the video with the UPS driver.
