What may begin as lighthearted texting may also expose differences in communication and respect. That was the case for a woman who goes by Knov Bee on Threads. She decided not to continue talking to a man after a casual chat about groceries took an uncomfortable turn. The exchange, later shared under her handle @knovbee on July 27, 2026, showed how a normal conversation instantly became an argument because of a harmless question.

The screenshots in the post showed the pair chatting about her trip, where she mentioned attending a pool party and singing karaoke. He then shared that he was heading out to buy groceries before working out with kettlebells and doing sprints. She casually asked if he was planning to prepare a meal. After avoiding the question once, he finally replied, "Why do you keep asking me that?" His tone became more serious as he questioned why women had started asking men about cooking. Surprised by the reaction, she calmly explained, "It's not that deep," adding that she had only asked because the idea of groceries naturally made her wonder whether he had to make himself something to eat.

The exchange continued, but the man remained fixated on why she had brought up cooking. The woman repeated, "I literally only asked because you said you were getting groceries," hoping to clear up the misunderstanding. Instead of accepting her explanation, he became increasingly defensive and upset. Realizing the discussion was going nowhere, she politely ended it by wishing him a good day and decided she no longer wanted to continue speaking with him. However, the man sent more messages, making negative remarks about women in his city and claiming they only cared about eating and drinking. He even said such females were "trash" due to their "small minds."

The woman replied that he had probably been hurt by someone to be making such assumptions and stereotyping others like that. Ultimately, she ended the conversation by wishing him well. Some dates begin with excitement but end on an annoying note. In another incident, a date walked away from a dinner after the man insisted that she should pay the bill because it was "the least she could do." When she asked why, he claimed women should cover the cost because they were living in a world built by men. Instead of arguing, she paid only for her own meal and left. The conversation continued through text, where he repeated his views and accused women of wanting equality only when it suited them. Rather than getting angry, she challenged his claim with a simple question about what he had personally contributed. His own silence served as a defeat.
