Woman grocery shopping caught a man staring at her — when he approached her, his remark left her in tears

Imagine shopping at a grocery store and finding a stranger staring at you. A stranger with a focused gaze on you may seem intimidating and creepy. However, there have been a handful of instances where the latter resulted in a wholesome encounter. A woman named Amanda (@amanda_fornow) revealed that she laid eyes on a man who had been continuously staring at her while she was shopping. As unusual and bizarre as it seemed, she ignored it. Finally, the man approached her and made a revelation that left her jaw-dropped. The woman was so moved by the encounter that she had to record herself shortly after it happened at the store.

Recording herself in tears, she revealed that a man was staring at her constantly. She clarified that he wasn’t following her but was only oddly staring throughout as she shopped. Finally, he mustered the courage to come up to her and explain his actions. “He finally came up to me and said, ‘You remind me so much of my sister,’” Amanda said. The man added that his sister had passed away quite some time ago but seeing her hit him with a wave of nostalgia. “You look so much like her,” he remarked. Amanda was speechless, she didn’t know how to respond but was moved to tears by the incident.

She added that the man looked at her some more. However, this time, the gaze didn’t feel creepy, it felt heartwarming and unique. With tears welling up in her eyes, the woman ensured she responded to the man. She said, “Well, I’m glad she could visit.” The meet was an unusual yet heart-melting one and the profoundness took the woman by surprise and it was all revealed in her sentimental smile. Towards the end of the video, Amanda turned the camera towards the elderly gentleman who had spoken with her. She zoomed in to reveal the back of the man who took his trolley and continued to make his way after a heavily emotional meet.

“I try to keep to myself at the grocery store, I could tell something was up. I had no idea it would go this way,” Amanda wrote in the caption. People were moved by the incident and couldn’t help but share in the woman’s bittersweet feelings. @tadbitangelny wrote, “What a beautiful story, there are no coincidences.
