Woman tells the motorist who accidentally hit her and broke her collarbone, 'No worries' — then marries him

A Chinese woman, who is unnamed, did not understand why she encountered a brutal accident while going about her day as usual, per Good News Network. It was only later that she realized that the unfortunate incident happened so she could meet her future spouse.
The 23-year-old woman was headed out on her electric bike when she saw a car charging towards her. The driver had been speeding and as she feared, she was hit by the car, per South China Morning Post. The driver, 36, reported to have the last name Li, was driving fast due to an emergency. However, when the accident occurred, he had to tend to the injured woman. That's how the duo met. The woman's accident was brutal and resulted in a broken collarbone. When Li offered to get an ambulance and get her medical attention right away, the woman responded saying, “No worries.” The unusual response took things up a notch for the duo.
The parents of the woman chose not to press charges, per The Star. They also forgave the man for the mishap. Li noted that the woman was kind and decent and did everything on his part to help her get better. The man reportedly visited her at the hospital every day and, in the bargain, began to connect and bond with her. Sharing personal stories, learning about each other and more, the duo eventually got close. Li specifically recalled thinking that the woman was too young for him as they had an age gap of 13 years. Nevertheless, the connection had already been made, thanks to fate and it only grew thereafter.
The duo met even after the woman was well and out of the hospital. Getting to know Li, she also learned that he had many debts as a businessman and stuck with him through the dilemmas. Over a few months, the duo decided to tie the knot and commit to each other for life. Knowing his financial situation, the woman and her family refused to accept the bride's money as customary in the culture. Li mentioned that he is immensely grateful to have his wife by his side as he navigates life and is delighted things turned out the way they did. He noted that marriage wasn’t on the cards for him but it all changed as he bonded with her over time.
Their story is being admired all over Chinese social media and is a hopeful reminder that fate always has plans for the best, even if it seems otherwise at the moment. The new couple received several good wishes. “Your story is like the plot of an idol drama. Best wishes to you,” one person said. “It was fate that brought them together despite the circumstances being quite unconventional,” another remarked.
