AI could be helpful for people in many ways if used correctly. However, when a woman asked ChatGPT about car repairs, she hadn't expected the cost to go from $2,800 to $50. The suspension of her car was not working and she needed to get it fixed. So she turned to ChatGPT in hopes that she could bring down the cost and it worked wonders. The woman shared how she managed to fix her car for $50 on TikTok, where she goes by @everything_bylaneise. The video received over 571,800 views.

In the clip, the woman could be seen fixing the car herself. "Mechanic told me $2,800 to fix my suspension," the text overlay of the video read. "ChatGPT told me junkyard $50." She removed the old suspension and took out the new one to install it. "Let's go fix this mess." The woman also shared that she hadn't done such a thing by herself ever before. Nonetheless, she managed to use all the tools and install the new suspension all by herself properly. Even though it was her first time, she was really confident while handling all the equipment. Once everything was fixed, the woman wondered how she had been driving her car like that.

Many portions next to the suspension had also come off loose and she decided to fix everything. The woman had decided to fix her car's AC next. She shared that she was actually able to get a new suspension for the price that ChatGPT mentioned, causing a significant difference to what she paid at the end of it all. The caption to the video read, "On a mission." In one of the comments, she shared that she had asked people at the repair shop a bunch of questions before she turned to ChatGPT for help. People shared their thoughts on the repair work in the comments section of the video.

@d.session wrote, "Great work, but never trust any jack while being under any vehicle. Use a jack stand or a wood block for safety." @money_team89 commented, "And with my 2013 Hyundai when I had her, changed all her lights to LED, the headlights, tail lights, changed the radio to a touch screen, GPS..I really should have recorded all this." @blueyedtina remarked, "I am currently researching on YouTube to figure out why I only have heat on the passenger side of my car. Can't afford a mechanic for something that seems to be a quick and easy fix."

@nuggets_n_chicken shared, "Amazing job. I love seeing women doing our own work after quotes that are clearly taking advantage of us. I would purchase a tool. It’s called a torque wrench. Anytime dealing with load-bearing parts like this, each bolt has a value it should be torqued to. If the bolt says 90 foot pounds, you dial the wrench to 90 and tighten until it clicks or beeps if you get a digital one. They are typically about 20-30$, depending on where you get them. This makes sure you don't undertighten or overtighten. Both can be dangerous." In another video, the woman tested out a car repair tool and revealed whether it was worth it or not.
