The universe has its own way of sending signs. What might look like an inconvenience to you might make someone else's day. That is what Candice O, who posts as @candiceobeauty on Instagram, learned in the most unexpected way during an early-morning trip to the airport. Candice shared the story in an Instagram video posted on October 26, 2026, explaining that her ticket didn't have a pre-check and security there sent her to the ticket counter to get it fixed. But when the employee at the counter checked her ID, he suddenly froze and started shaking. What he noticed left them both emotional.

Candice said the man looked at her ID and suddenly exclaimed, “Oh my God.” When she asked what was wrong, he told her he'd just been thinking about calling his niece, who lived in Hawaii, because he hadn't spoken to her in a while. And then he noticed Candice's name. His niece was also named Candice. But the moment became even more emotional when he checked her birthday and saw September 27. Candice noticed him starting to shake and tear up. When asked if everything was okay, the man told her that it was the same birthday as his late sister, his niece's mother. The coincidence made both emotional. Candice then told the man, "Sir, I clearly was here for a reason."

She then encouraged him to check on his niece, saying, "Your sister said call and go check on my baby; go see that girl now." Candice felt the man needed a nudge to reach out to someone he loved, and somehow, their paths had crossed at just the right time. While sharing the experience, Candice said what had been a minor inconvenience for her became a meaningful moment for someone else. She could have simply gone through regular security, as there was no queue, but the decision to return to the counter led to an encounter she never expected. As she put it, "Sometimes your inconvenience is someone else's blessing."

Her story moved viewers, too. One viewer, also named Candice, @sincerely_candicemonique, joked, “Wow!!!! Now I’m crying; you messed me up with this one.” Another viewer, @sommartheodore, reacted with, “Jesus Be Knowing." Meanwhile, @misshillaryclaire shared how much the moment meant to her, writing, "God’s divine intervention will forever bless my soul! Thank you for sharing."

Sometimes, an unexpected moment can feel like a message from someone we've lost. In another story, a mom who had lost her 6-year-old son asked for a sign that he could still hear her. Later that day, a little boy she'd never met walked up to her and placed a single red LEGO in her hand—the exact kind of sign she'd asked for. The moment left her in tears, and she felt it was her son letting her know he was still with her.
