Some events might seem like they were simply meant to happen. But when a woman, Fiona Begg, witnessed a cat getting hit by a car and tried her best to save him, she didn't know that she would take a new pet home soon. Begg was devastated after witnessing the tragic incident and rushed the cat to a vet. However, she was told that they might have to put him down because he was in a really critical condition. Nonetheless, Begg received a phone call a few days later that changed her life, per a video from her TikTok page, @feeebegg. The clip received over 16.8 million views.

"I just watched this poor cat get hit by a car," Begg explained in the video as she held the cat close to her and consoled him. She took him to the vet and the medical staff gave the cat some pain medication. "They are probably gonna have to put him down. I just didn't want the cat to be suffering on the side of the road like that," the woman went on with tears in her eyes. Four days later, she got a call from the vet that the cat was actually doing quite well. "We were able to stabilize him over the days and he's been doing really well." The cat had stayed at the clinic over the weekend and they were trying to find his owner, but couldn't locate anyone.

The clinic asked Begg if she was interested in adopting the kitty. "He seems to be very sweet," the person pointed out. Begg drove to the clinic and picked him up from there to bring him home. She looked really excited to take the cat back home with her. In another video, Begg shared that she had decided to name the cat Lucky Chance. The woman recounted the moment she saw Lucky Chance get hit by the car as one of the most traumatic incidents of her life. She pointed out that she was grateful that there was a good clinic close to the site. Begg just had to bring him in and the veterinary doctors took over from there. The cat was not chipped or neutered and he weighed only four pounds when she found him.

Lucky Chance would continue to have some ongoing medical expenses, so a GoFundMe page was set up to help cover them. He had chipped his tooth in the car accident and will need to get surgery for the same. "I'd really love to give back to the vets, without them I wouldn't have been able to do anything," Begg added. She had decided to keep the cat and was helping him settle with her existing pet dog, Link. The cat was doing well after the incident. The fundraiser had managed to raise around 13,104 Canadian Dollars. ($9,488) People appreciated the woman for her kindness in the comments section of the video.
