A neighbor with four dogs filed a noise complaint about kids playing — so a parent got petty with nighttime revenge

Their kids were playing outside, and four dogs were barking in the backyard of another house nearby. But just minutes later, a city bylaw officer arrived with a complaint about an “illegal amount of noise.” It turned out to be the dog lady next door who had filed it. In response, the user decided to carry out a well-planned act to seek revenge against the neighbor.

Although the name wasn't mentioned, the user was certain it was the dog lady next door who had filed the complaint. It disappointed them as their kids were always friendly and caring towards her and her dogs. Then they sought revenge by placing an animal caller high in a tree bordering their house. Now, they simply press a remote at night to activate a coyote call, setting off the neighbor’s dogs into a frenzy of barking.
“They sleep indoors with her, but if I open my front door and listen carefully, I can just hear them barking like crazy,” the user wrote. Although they did not say that their neighbor had ever spoken about it or confronted him, the dog's constant barking must have disrupted her sleep cycle at night. They also said the dog owner was pretty nice most of the time. “But every once in a while, when her meds are off can be kinda grumpy,” the user noted. The city bylaw officer who arrived at the scene also said, “Crazy dog ladies shouldn’t complain so much.” What fueled their anger and sense of revenge was the fact that their kids had always been considerate toward her, shoveling her driveway after her ankle surgery, being friendly with her dogs, and even bringing treats for them. “I didn’t want to start a war with her, but also felt like she needed some sort of revenge,” they explained.
