Some seemingly strange gestures might have a heartwarming reason behind them. A 20-year-old also found out that there was a beautiful motive behind his teen brother leaving spoons in the bathroom. The man also pointed out that his brother was very quiet and caring. He also didn't feel that the teenager was involved in anything odd. One fine day, he got to see what his brother was actually doing with the spoon and it all finally made sense, per a Reddit post by u/Large_Midnight598.

"My little brother isn't a very social kid. He's quiet, very caring, loves video games and animals and he’s a solid B-average student. Nothing about him has ever made me think he'd be involved in anything odd," the man began. The older brother was finishing up his last year at an auto mechanics school, so he still lived at home. He also shared a bathroom with his 13-year-old brother. So the 20-year-old was really surprised to see a spoon in the bathroom every day for a couple of months. "Not just once, constantly. I'd take them out, wash them, put them back in the kitchen and the next day another would be there."

The man even asked his brother if he knew anything about the spoons in the bathroom. The teen told him that he didn't know what it was. His parents had no idea about it either. After he talked to his brother, the spoons stopped appearing. So the man thought that it was the end of it. "But then they started showing up again." He eventually found out what it was when he came home earlier than usual one day. "As I walked into the patio area (which connects to our bathroom), I saw my brother standing outside the bathroom door holding a spoon with raw tuna on it. He was holding it out toward a stray cat in our yard, trying to get it to come closer."

When asked what he was doing, the teen explained that he was trying to lure stray cats inside the bathroom, so he could bathe them. "He thought if the cats were clean, people would like them more and they might find homes. (We have a lot of strays in our area) He didn't know that cats can clean themselves and don't need baths like that." The spoons in the shower were left after the teen boy successfully managed to get a cat inside. "He would leave it on the floor so the cat could keep licking it while he would wash them. So that's the explanation. Nothing dangerous, just my brother trying to help stray cats in the only way he thought made sense."

People appreciated the teen's thoughtful gesture in the comments section of the thread. u/laladitz wrote, "That is the most aggressively adorable thing I've read in a long time. Maybe you could build some winter shelters for them as a bonding project? There are loads of tutorials on YouTube and the like." u/unsolicitedPeanutG commented, "He is such a sweet boy. Maybe he just wants to socialise with others with his values. Maybe you can let him be a helper at an animal shelter or a groomer." u/dustyoldthing remarked, "Ok could you have your brother make an Amazon wishlist and share it with us? I'd love to send some cat food, maybe some shampoo or flea collars, food dishes, or even just spoons and tuna."
