Girlfriend was just focused on pub trivia when she reached the 'bonus question'—it literally changed her life in seconds

Some people go that extra mile to make their loved ones happy. A girlfriend who was totally focused on a pub trivia had no idea that her boyfriend would change her life by the end of the day. In a video going viral on social media, a woman appeared busy solving a quiz and wasn't paying attention to anything else as her boyfriend kept looking at her, waiting for her to figure out what was happening around her. When she reached the "bonus question," made specifically for her, it left her in tears, as seen in the Reddit post shared by the girlfriend, u/paprika-pal.

The woman was almost done with all of the questions as she started solving the bonus one. The answer read, "Will you spend the rest of your life with me?" She simply solved the question and took a moment to process that her boyfriend was actually proposing to her through the question. The moment everything clicked, her mouth was wide open and the man sat down on one knee. She kept her hands on her face as her boyfriend offered her a ring and she nodded her head to say 'yes.' The entire crowd at the pub started screaming and cheering as the man put the ring on his girlfriend's finger. They kissed each other and he gave her a big hug to help her calm down.

"Got proposed to at our weekly pub trivia," the headline read. "My boyfriend (now fiancé!) coordinated with our trivia host and proposed to me through the 'bonus question.' We were directed to find a secret code throughout the earlier answers and it spelled out 'The Question,'" the woman explained. She shared that she didn't figure it out until the very last moment. "I said yes and we are so excited." About winning the quiz, the woman revealed through one of the comments, "We were disqualified for 'insider trading' but I accept the loss." People congratulated the happy couple in the comments section of the video.

Y’all are an adorable couple." u/SabbyFox commented, "Congrats! I love that the proposal was part of something you two both naturally enjoy doing. No volcanoes, twisters, or waterfalls — just all about your love for each other. I wish you both every happiness in the world." u/MedusaSteele remarked, "Oh man, a lot of things on this sub have made me smile, but I’ve had a particularly terrible day and this made me giddy. The moment it started and she was concentrating so hard, I was like, 'This one is gonna be what my soul needs.' Wishing you two the best."

u/KilnTime shared, "I am over the moon for you! That is such a clever and unique way to do a proposal, tying in an activity that you obviously enjoy! May you always work to solve the problems that you face in life as easily as you did this bonus question!" Another user expressed, "My man looked confident as hell until he got on a knee. I was 99% sure my now wife would say yes, but damn, I was shaking. Congrats to you both and enjoy talking with your hands a lot more than normal for the foreseeable future."
