One of the major aspects one looks at when purchasing a house is whether it has the potential to feel like you're home. This might be in the location, simple details or other factors. Anna Reibs and Brandon Clayton were also looking for the ideal place to call home in Fort Wayne, as reported by 15 Wane. They spent weeks looking for the perfect place and chanced upon a cozy property on Clover Lane. Feeling a connection to the house, the couple decided to go ahead and purchase the home. They were stunned to learn that this new home goes back in time to Anna’s grandma, Gloria.

When the duo checked out the place on Clover Lane, it felt just right. The woman noted that it “felt like home.” Something clicked and they were already in favor of getting the place. “I definitely did some happy dancing throughout the house,” Anna remarked. Mary Anne Taylor, a realtor with North Eastern Group Realty, who was showing them around, also saw Anna take an instant liking towards the property. “She just had this connection to this house. Through the whole thing, she’s like, ‘I just have to have this house,’” she recalled.

When Anna showed her mom the house, she was stoked to learn there was an in-depth connection she indirectly had with the place. “She looked at me and said, ‘You’re not going to believe this but this is the house your grandmother and her sister grew up in,’” Anna recalled. The couple was overjoyed to make this place their own more than ever. However, they decided to keep it a surprise from Gloria and her twin sister, Grace. They made the special reveal on camera where they caught her reaction. “I couldn’t believe it. I thought they were kidding,” Gloria said. The excited sibling called up her sister to deliver the news.

For the first time in decades, the sisters arrived together back in their childhood home, a million memories unfolding at each step. As they looked around, they explored the different rooms, looking back at the time and how their home used to be. They were also impressed with how it had changed over the years. “It’s interesting to see the changes,” Gloria noted. Grace profoundly delighted in seeing the room where her wedding reception once took place. One can only imagine how fulfilling it was to go back to it all. The family is so bonded with the place that they often drive by just to have a look at it.

“It does bring back a lot of memories, it really does. Some of them, well, most of them, are good,” Grace added. The sisters are exceptionally relieved to have their precious home within the family. They mentioned how many relatives had tried to get their hands on the place, but in vain. “Now, it’s back in the family,” Gloria exclaimed. “Not many people can say they’re in their grandmother’s home and that’s where they’re going to start their journey together. So, it’s pretty awesome,” Anna remarked.
